Raging leads to losing and everyone knows that so if you rage it's because you don't care enough about winning. Don't really see how taking the game seriously leads to raging? Perhaps this is a personal thing, but to me you're missing the distinction between wanting to improve and wanting to win. Not every system of play is conducive to being satisfied merely with improvement. To use SC2 as an example of what I'm trying to say, I spent ages trying to break into gm league. During practice games winning or losing would be of little importance to me, since all I wanted from those games was to improve and there was no other reward for playing such games. However, once you get into ladder games, or I guess the LoL equivalent of ranked, winning or losing is generally viewed as the sole metric of success and failure. Naturally people will rage in games that seemingly lower their level of progress/achievement.

Another question I have is why doesn't nunu take smite and use that to smite/consume the golems whenever he gets "counter picked" by sona(not sona in general, but people say sona>nunu so i used her as an example)

it's the same thing as promote, Promote was a really good summoner in s2, but it put you at such a disadvantage during the lane phase.

It is doable to not run a combat mastery. I don't think smite is a good summoner to have multiples of. Taking any farm as a support takes it away from your jungler or AD carry. I mean there are some games where your jungler may never touch golems, but it'd be risky to do and having a variety of summoners (exhaust) is always good in teamfights.

Namely, tank jungle, ie Warmogs. Hopefully when that item gets nerfed it stabilizes out, but right now I think if you can't build a Warmogs in the jungle, you might want to pick a diff champ. But I suck at this game, so idk.

I have to admit that there were some really good clarity players including one who would "call" where the enemy jungler was and then CV to prove it. I didn't feel like I had a massive advantage for going exhaust, but I never felt like I could use cv to its full potential. It is doable to not run a combat mastery. If you eliminate all logical solutions to a problem the illogical, however impossible, is invariably true.
