I recommend basically everyone that's not 6300 because most are quite worthwhile. There are a few that are pretty far out of popular favor at the moment (nasus, sion, poppy) but in general they're all fun and good. | ||

Mid, Fizz is a slippery assassin with an awkward laning phase and good roam/kill opportunities post-6, Xerath is a very long range/immobile AoE-guy of doom who just carpets the fight, for example, they aren't similar at all (well, they're underwhelming with their ults on cooldown, but that's all). Do you prefer playing ranged, melee, being mobile and evasive or rather the big bulky dudes that can withstand hits while dishing out the pain, are you allergic to cc-less champs, etc. If you have example of your favorites we can point out similar champs too (unless you want to branch out). Garen/Ryze/Annie are pretty straightforward and easy to learn champs that only cost 450 (well, Ryze has some kind of a twist to him, but most people will say he's easy to play). Roaming Sion mid is still my go to just for fun normals pick. Something about running out of the bushes, stunning a guy, and popping a shield to clear a whole minion wave and eat 1/2 his health is super fun. Plus I use the lumberjack skin and that shit is hilarious. | ||

Champs that resemble Jayce, Kata and TF... if it's for the pushing and ganking of TF with ult, a lot of champs can do it with instaclears, like Gragas, Viktor, Galio, etc. If it's more the map control and presence thanks to his teleport, Karthus, Pantheon (he's more of a top/mid AD assassin into short-range AoE damage, though), Shen, Nocturne (jungler) can provide this kind of presence with their ults. No other champ gives vision like him though (Rengar does in a pretty limited radius, same with Elise). Jayce is said to be more or less kinda Nidalee-like, because they have two forms and thus kits, but said kits aren't too alike (AP Nidalee pokes a lot better while AD Nidalee can only marginally poke; also she only gets her second form at level 6). Katarina, well... apart from playing AP Yi/Tristana for the reset mechanic, the "melee assassin that has it rough till 6" works for Fizz, kinda Kassadin, Talon (prob the best laning phase out of those 4 till level 5 or so). I dunno who else has that "jump from people to people through kills". Akali, Diana maybe if you manage your ult well? And Darius but he's more of a finisher and top laner. | ||
