But yeah the biggest wings turn off for me and one of the reasons I didn't watch him for ages is that name. It's like something so stereotyped I just didn't even bother checking him out for the longest time.
Seems like a really neat guy besides his name. He could do well by just going by "Wings" or something.
At least he is only WingsofDeathx and not xXxWingsofDeathxXx.
Zion defaulting into his Haunting Guise build when Irelia sits on Wit's and another NMM. Shows how much mechanics and decision making mean in this game and how little theory you need to know. Also shows how I should stop thinking too much about the game and start playing more, hue.

If you don't mind me asking, what's bad about her lines in French?

If I got to build a team, Wings would be my very first pick. He practices like how I expect most NA pro should practice.
That said, I don't get why he's not liked. He's definitely skilled and he doesn't trash talk. It's ok if you're not a Wings fan. I just don't get people who dislike him.
because he wasnt always mannered, he used to be a huge douchebag and personally I think he just acts differently under public spotlight, still a douchebag at heart. People don't change that much that fast
also he sounds/looks incredibly nerdy, so just another for the stereotypical gamer can
There must be a solo q side of things that I don't get to see I guess. I've played with Wings since S1 and he's always been a good guy, win or lose.
I'd say the same thing about Xpecial but there's a lot more examples of him raging when his team goes full retarded but w/e.
this dates back to pre-ranked, and yes xpecial was the same if not worse then wings. one of the biggest losers to play with pre-ranked
The way they're formulated. Well it's something that happen often to us that "cool" or even "normal" English lines/mottos/etc. sound corny when translated. For example, her selection line, "So much untapped power!", has been translated to "Tant de pouvoir à explorer encore !" which'd be akin to "So much power still left to explore/experiment with!". The formulation is kinda awkward (grammatically correct, but awkward), especially with the way she says it, and would go better with a full sentence. I tend to nitpick a lot with words though, so it may be just me (and if I switch to English I'll cringe whenever I hear Ryze's voice).

Goes with what TSM said really well, the whole 'Why should we use unusual comps to win when we can just win by being better in teamfight/mechanics.'

Mechanics and decision making come from experience. It's skills that you really have to hone. But not everyone has the time or desire for practice.
Good item builds can still make or break games though. I wouldn't entirely neglect it.
Is that reaction time actually humanly possible? o.o
In a scenario where you know someone will do something it's not hard to flash right when it's coming. He knew Malph would ult there so he just had his finger on flash and waited for the ult. In a teamfight though where there's so many things to keep track of then yeah it would be nearly impossible.
Same thing here except I had even less time to react. + Show Spoiler +
If you really want to do some clutch and reactionary stuff, I once had lee at low health and me (lulu) at low health. He landed a Q on me and I was about to die so I flashed as soon as he started dashing at me with Q and mashed E on him and it killed him mid flight. That imo is a lot luckier and harder to do lol (of course suuuper situational lol). I really wish I was streaming or recording that though

This is interesting, thanks...I'm not multilingual enough to check out localizations myself :<
Learning to jungle feels so high pressure, I feel way more guilty when I play bad as jungler than anything else :/
I used to like Smash, but then he switched from Panth/Nunu to Jayce. :[ Also fed Maokai so scary, I W'd to Alistar jungle every single time to prevent him from reaching our carries and Gragas would use it to ult me into their tower. Half the time I had flash up, the rest... I just walked away because 10 minutes glacial shroud OP. First time I managed to get an early oracle and keep it the entire game in another context that a fed Mundo prompting a 20 minutes surrender. That feeling of all-powerfulness when you disappear from their sight and they obviously don't know if they can afford that cs anymore. @_@
getting gold at end of season one was so rough for me, I really hadn't played ranked before so I wasn't used to just mashing games and being patient. I repeatedly got within 10 elo and then had a leaver or troll or something like that and then I'd drop down to 1470 or something, it was really a pain. Keep up the struggle man, you'll get there.
