the guy is a professional gamer on one of the best teams in the world living in a gaming house with zero financial fear whatsoever. everyone loves him and he has a huge fanbase of people who basically worship him and will obey anything he says. he lives with his hot asian girlfriend and his bros who are also professional gamers where they play league of legends and eat food from 7/11. can one ask for a better life?

The real question is who/what is RIOT planning on funding in S3. The teams as such or the individual players and that is where the problem might have started. They might have thought about funding the teams instead of the players directly. In this case though, they most certainly would have considered some sort of clause that would have prevented the teams from using that money to help their Dota division. Anything else would be retarded from a buisness point of view. BUT the big problem is that nobody knows exactly what are the plans for S3.
So Sir Scoots coming forward and making some vague statement about Riot considering to somehow incentivize teams to stay Lol-exclusive might have some basis, but why would he do that? The answer is obvious, whatever deal Riot was offering the other teams, he wouldn't have been able to take it because EG doesn't have a lol team. So what do I do, when my competitor are getting offered a deal, I can't have.... Maybe I try to somehow sabotage said deal...
Rumors, rumors and more rumors... That's all it is. The entire thread in the Dota section is a set-up for Lol/RIOT bashing. People are getting manipulated left and right, it's sad to see.
Another important tid-bit is that there was recently an episode of climbing the ladder which was lol-centric. Wombat was on it and he was making fun of Sir Scoots, the rest got uncomfortable with it and he dismissed it by saying that EG is never gonna pick up Lol. Furthermore wasn't it also Sir Scoots, that started the collusion rumor in the recent MLG, which also ended up having a pretty bad fallout for RIOT. Really funny how somebody who doesn't even have Lol team is getting involved the scene... and every time it seems to tarnish the image of Lol/Riot. But hey, he is probably just doing it for the greater good of Esports (just in case: \Sarcasm).

Oh man. So after leaving mTw Forellenlord decides that Kerp's team is better(Kottenx and Metalx are both people he plays with almost all the time). This probably is an improvement over the team that also had a few of his buddies that weren't quite as good. Also Kerp actually gets to play his best role instead of having to fill in ridiculous roles like AP carry(And still carrying his team). Looking forward to seeing how they'll do

Let's see: Chaox has a very smooth smile and stare, OddOne is undeniably sexy, Reginald's eyebrows are mia and his head looks like a Mayan head statue and that makes him interesting, Dyrus is a hunky 6+ feet tall man. What does Xpecial have? His face is generic, his body is generic, his expression is lacking emotion, his moving stance is one of an irrelevant person. So he mad cuz he isn't sexy and takes it out on your 0-4 lee sin who's getting raped by nunu top or the blitzcrank who always hooks in amumu so he can ult your team np. Also lulz @ Bluespace's conspiracy theory that Scoots wants to take down Riot because other MGO's have LoL teams. Occam's Razor dude. He is one of the 3 heads of a major esports journalism show with a tagline of 'no fluff' and has also publicly said that EG has potential interest in signing an LoL team if the proper situation invents itself. His 'reasons' for talking about this are obvious.

like honestly I like LoL, and don't plan to switch to DOTA2 anytime soon, but the fact the people can put on blinders and act like even attempting a rule like that isn't duchebaggery frightens me, hold riot to a standard people.

zz he thinks kottenx and metalx and good enough? I can't remember metalx but I guess kottenx is a huge rager so that might be a reason to be only 2400 but still for a jungler is isn't great.

valid complaint imo, I'd love to have the major us esports teams get involved in lol, like it or not it's good for our game. what no EG could've signed a team years ago. Literally years ago. It's not like competitive LoL has only been around for the last month. Especially since, from what I've gathered, this rule only surfaced two weeks or so ago. EG doesn't have a LoL team because at first they didn't want one and then when they realized they wanted one it was at a time when practically every good team was already signed. Organizations like EG and coL still want LoL teams especially after the rule was revoked. They're likely just waiting for another Rock Solid.
It's kind of implied that last year eg approached at least 3 LoL teams in na. I think Dan dinn/ epic gamer confirmed it last year at Raleigh iirc.

So SirScoots comes with this idea of not being allowed a Dota and LoL team while a lot of other teams actualy already have mutliple teams (CLG, M5 for example) and were to take his word for it?
This is the same guy that got Curse and Dig fucked over because he said he overheard talking about price splitting which after being confronted turns out to only be a suspicion because they agreed to a single non serious game in a bo5.
SirScoots isnt a reliable source for the color of his own shirt. Let alone something like this.

Please read the post probably and mind the sarcasm tag. I don't have any way to pry into people's mind, but I think it is ridiculous how people are arguing in the other thread. On the one hand, Sir Scoots and Valve with a pure interest for esports and on the other hand Riot, that wants to take over world by making everybody play lol.
I just put the last paragraph in to show how to spin stuff, because this is what is happening here. And you are doing the same. You call out someone for criticizing Sir Scoots, by pointing out that he is financing pro gamers, but Riots plans for S3 are evil because they might have considered to prevent teams from supporting their main competitor?
Occam's Razor? Money is the main motivator for what companies and/or organizations are doing. The first question I ask myself in these case is, what is the person financially gaining from this move. Does he gain an edge over his competitor? Does he improve his image?
I don't see Sir Scoots as a journalist. He is first and foremost EG. EG has a established Dota team. They do not have a Lol team. So in a direct competition of both games, which side would EG support at the moment? I don't think that is a conspiracy theory. I don't think that he is conspiring. He has a stake in the development of Dota 2 as a successful Esports. It's as simple as that and comes down to good business. Even if his intentions are pure as a journalist, there is a clear conflict of interests.
EDIT: Just to make one thing clear. RIOT is in my opinion also mainly motivated by money. And if they can get away with it, they will make teams drop Dota, I don't doubt that at all. And I agree that this would be a dick move.

He never said he wasn't allowed a LoL team because he has a dota team.
It's true that riot planed to implement a rule that would force teams to have only a LOL division,a lot of teams came forward and said riot confronted them with this idea and they manage to argue otherwise so Riot dropped it.
Btw what Riot had to say on this clearly shows that they had something in the works because they never DENIED that they planed something like this.All they said is they will not force anyone to drop a team from another Moba franchise and that it was only a rumor.
