I think it's only banworthy if you choose to make it so. Dota2 is a good game, and I'm sure the competitive scene will be entertaining. I just feel a bit sad that they chose it over/in spite of LoL, when we have plenty of people that could give contributions and writeups, as has been shown in the past.

I despise watching DotA2 because its just goddamn boring to try to sit through. The fact one hero can get fed and 1v5 is boring as fuck, i think i managed to play like 5 games of it before i realized it just wasnt fun in the slightest.
I don't know why they wouldn't just cover both, leagues forums probably about as big as DotA's anyway

Morde model just got a resize afaik. No other changes.
Also, the patch is large because it contains content files even though a lot of it hasn't been deployed yet.

I for one welcome dota 2 to TL.
Nah I could never get into it. I've invested so much time into LoL. It makes sense that TL is expanding. I'm mostly just worried that forum standards will drop even more if we start getting more and more dotards. As the size of a forum grows it becomes harder to moderate and threads tend to explode with 10 posts of funny reactions rather than a slow methodical discussion where there might only be one funny reaction per page...

Morde's resize is a nerf in my opinion. The only advantage of having a large size is so opponents can't click your allies and for the psychological effect. Larger opponents are easier to hit and get stuck on creeps more frequently.

I actually like watching Tobi's casts of DotA 2 a lot, but personally I'm much more invested in LoL. Playing DotA is a little too much like a chore. It's not like BW where I got a rush out of playing as fast as I could at my measly 130 zerg APM.

I kinda thought that getting into LoL would be easier for TL because of how the Korean scene has taken it up so well. But I can definitely understand why Dota2 was picked up the first "MOBA" game.
It's pretty cool, and it isn't detrimental to our LoL forum at all I think.

I also worry about that too. The mods had a banfest when SC II started coming around, I fear that if people start swarming to TL, things would get even worse.
And personally, I hope that we remain as a subforum. It is nice when you can recognize most of the people here. We do not want to become like the Riot, SC II, or the typical DotA forum, do we?

i came to TL for pro BW stuff, then i found all the other forums which was kinda fun
then SC2 came out and all the other forums were kinda ruined
then blizzard/OGN decided to kill BW with that half-assed PL
can't be too mad about DotA2. i really couldn't care less, other than wanting to play DotA2 because it looks fun but it's still "in beta." the hell is up with that.
with regionals going on, oh man. made me miss the old BW livereport days. good stuff.

I like the LoL-Subforum. Even if I'm usually lurking and only occasionally asking a noob-question in a championthread it really helps me out a lot to learn League. The amount of posts and their quality is perfect so you can catch with almost everything. Having more sections or more threads in the sidebar would be nice though.
LoL-Forum, BW and Blogs are the only activated tl-sections for me now.
