Honestly I'm a shaky AP mid outside of Malz and Veigar. I can jungle a pretty well as Nocturne, Warwick and kinda Udyr but I usually play Udyr very tanky. Definitely very comfortable as tanks supports and ranged carried though

Maybe I should try to play her more even tho I'm level 30 and stuff since it seems she's some kind of Fiddlesticks in the way you use her ult, or a stragglers killer.
Might try Ez too, he looks really fun to play with and mobile in the good hands. As Sona I had more fun laning with a good Ez than a good Cait. The formers are a lot rarer than the latter tho.

You can be pretty successful in ranked while only being confident in 3 roles. Especially the roles you are comfortable with, in my experiance the solo lanes are most popular with jungling coming in third. Although it may just feel like that because those are the 3 I play reasonably well.

Not being able to play one role well isn't that big of a problem. If you can play at least a few roles, the other people in the team can usually fill in the other roles.
It starts being a problem if you're stuck with one role and one of the earlier picks decides to ignore whatever you say and just go for what he wants.
There are five basics roles in this game, each of them have more or less in common with each other. Just drop a comment like "I'll play anything but jungle or AD carry" in the start of the game and it should be fine. If they force you into something you really hate to play, or feel uncomfortable with, you have two choices:
1. Take it like a man and play something you suck at, you will be at least a bit better at that role after the game.
2. Or, worst case scenario, you drop out of the champion selection. Some teams (those that can't think of adjusting their mindset for the sake of the team) just aren't worth playing with.
I'd rather play with a team that makes sure that everyone gets to play something they can handle than I'd play with a bunch of retards who picks all the FOTM champs but leaves you to play jungle for the first time in ranked.

I think part of me being so wary of Ranked is from my horrible experiences of Normal where I've had to choose between filling in roles the rest of the team refused to because they all auto locked melees and casters or they flamed me for choosing a support or a lesser used "tank" that I feel more comfortable tanking as. All the positive things have kinda made me wanna try and play out ranked tomorrow when I log in

Also, remember that at lower elo I don't feel you have to follow the current meta and top picks to 100% to win. No jungler, double AP (one top, one mid), some funky setup bot with perhaps a caster + AD carry that wins the lane really early.
It all works out because at that elo, you're not really winning games because of picks and counterpicks. You win games with decicive early game wins in one or several lanes. And since a bunch of randoms isn't going to assist the other lanes enough, you can pull off some really strange team compositions.
