I get unranked retards, who decide to troll the game when anything doesn't go completely the way they want. Any wonder why they ended the season at 1300. Always play at your best, always keep playing. You win games you don't think you will, and you'll gain elo because of it. It seems low people don't understand that, and it's really annoying having to play with people who give up at picks and stupid stuff like that.

Further analysis on Riven:
- I'm fucking terrible at landing auto attacks, so I'm getting no damage output :\
- Wriggles is honestly like the best starting item on her, jungling or not. Then again, I've never played a melee AD in any serious capacity before, so I never really bought it. It's tight.
- I honestly still think E over W for leveling. That shield-dash has saved my skin so many times, and the W is just too hard to land until you're on top of them anyway. Her strength lies in mobility and hopping around, so having it on a lower CD is stronger, I feel. Q's scaling with level is just a wee bit too weak to justify any points in it before W or E.

It's almost like they don't worry about the results from the first week, knowing Elo will normalize thanks to a long season!

I wish i could gather all the tears shed over the elo reset, crystalise them, ground up the tear crystals and then proceed to snort them right up.
Playing nothing but normals makes you live longer.
But with all of that said, im pretty sure this means we now have to admit that mordekaiser is #1 according to the highest elo players in the game.

Because people seldom see a good Ez out there.
Generally, Ez can work pretty good as an AD (maybe not high tier, but no one would argue that e. g. SK CandyPanda & Co. can play him competetively), but most players just can't handle him (which is my own experience, too).
You see Ezreals fail more often in ranked solo q (at least this is why they hate AD Ez I guess) than Ashes, Caits or Trists so people are probably more sceptical of AD Ez and would prefer another AD on their side.

that's completely irrelevant to the point at hand. Yes, over the course of the season it will even out, but it's pretty much complete bullshit that it would be easier for every single top 500 player to get back to a high elo if they had started at 1200 with inflated K-values. Everyone's w/l slate should've been cleared and everyone should've had inflated Ks or no one should've had inflated Ks. The choice they made doesn't make sense and is pretty infuriating.
This is my list of gripes with their reset:
1. No inflated K-values for ranked players, while new players still get inflated Ks.
2. Preseason 2! (btw it carries over into season 2) <--- wtf is this shit, how is this not just season 2 then?
3. Reset curves murdered by outliers. Everyone in hipster plat should've been reset to 1500. Everyone below 600 should've been reset to 900. And everyone in between should've been more normally distributed over that range rather than most of the ranked community getting clumped into the same fucking 1200-1400 elo bracket. Their whole formula shit the bed when they were worrying about the outliers at the top and bottom.

Note: I am not a high elo player so this doesn't mean much.
I've been playing Riven almost exclusively since the patch and I still am having trouble hitting the q attack due to the fact you actually need your mouse over the target or else she will just jump forward. Sometimes I am just barely off of the target for my second attack and end up wiffing on my combo costing the team the fight sometimes. I really wish there was a way to have it always jump to the mouse.

I'm not sure why they reset ELO in the first place. It's not like the good players from last season forgot how to play while the game patched. If they just wanted to clear inactives they could have just required you to play 10 ranked games after the date...

It's pretty alright if you just spam click. That way, even if you miss your click, you're already walking at the target, so Q should hit, or at least get you closer. It's a bit wonky, but the patch has only been out for 2 days, so no one's gonna be perfect at it for a while.
Also, been thinking today I'm gonna play AtMallet games most of the day on her and see how that goes. Glass Cannon Riven can be fun depending on the matchup, but I really feel like I explode. Maybe it'll give me a reason to level W over E too, since I'll be a bit more tanky.

That stun ring's range is just lol...nobody respects it Smart casting on Veigar is helpful, but if you are quick enough you can do it just as well without. I personally don't use smart casting except for maybe Cassiopeia's E, IMO it removes the only part of the game where you have to be quick with your keyboard/mouse. Also, Zhonya's is a core item for me when i play Veigar.  I get it right after Rabadons and Void Staff/A Survivability item. SInce Veigar will instant die when getting charged by a enemy anti-carry unless his E is off-cooldown the active from the Hourglass is invaluable.
Is it really core if you're getting it after like 10k gold...?

So, if i understand the previous advice given to me correctly, in order to progress in ranked I need to pretty much say "fuck teamcomp" and play the character I know I can carry with?
Isn't that the entire problem with solo queue people in ranked?

i think the problem with riven is how her attack animation and her w animation are literally retarded
a champion that stuns herself as long as (if not more than) the people that she is stunning is stupid.
let her q w and e cancel attack animations this is how fighting games work
hitstun and blockstun take longer to resolve than most attack animations, otherwise attacking would be fucking retarded
also they should introduce a new sort of disable, knockdown
knockdown... knocksdown the enemy champion, effectively stunning them, but reduces the damage they take by 50% (because they're on the fucking ground lolol)

Some people can only play one champ. Other people can play 1 (or a few) champs and give 0 fucks while going 50-0. These aren't the same thing. You should, however, be able to fill 2-3 roles solidly to deal with the guy who can only play one champ.
