apen - armor - mres/lvl - apen runes cleanse/flash summoners 21/0/9 masteries The usual cloth armor+5hp pot or doran shield opening. Try to get a solo lane. You will get denied probably (your team will say TWITCH SUCKS), but at least try and ask for it. Don't try to play him like Eve. He's not a gank machine. He's an ad carry with a stealth gimmick. You can gank with him at times, especially after you blue pilled and before you return to your lane, but focus on farming. You should max your E first, the order of Q and W depends on the gameflow. At lvl4 both should have get a point on them. On early levels you can force vlad and kassadin out of lane with your ridiculous autoattacks and nuke. Just like Corki. Actually your passive is even better than Corki's. Around lvl 4 a lot of characters will start force you out of lane, you will need the help of your jungler. With basic map awaraness, summoners and the help of your Q, you should never ever die out of teamfights. Try not to get too behind in creep kills. After your starting items, I suggest buying 1 or 2 doran's blades. Your boots of choice should be boots of mobility or swiftness. I found those were the best ones. Swiftness is better though in an average game, because positioning in a teamfight is important. Then rush for Infinity Edge. Always buy the pickaxe or BF sword first, then the other damage component, never the cloak. After you get your IE, buy a green pot in case of teamfights. Your next items should be (not in particular order): Last Whisper/Black Cleaver, Banshee's Veil, Phantom Dancer. -If many of the other team buy armor: Last Whisper+green pot. -If there are many squishies in the other team(max 1 well armored champ): Black Cleaver+green pot OR phantom dancer. [you shouldn't really buy last whisper AND black cleaver, they make each other less efficient] -Banshee's Veil: use your judgment when to buy it! Sometimes you need it right after your IE, in optimal cases you can delay it somewhat. Though if you have a solid lead, buy it instead of another damage item! Don't give em a chance to make your advantage slip away. Never forget to use Q for the attack speed bonus! Also it's the best positioning spell ability among the AD carries to start a fight! Don't go out of cloak prematurely. Twitch is unique for his HUGE AoE physical damage, that's why he comboes very well with AoE CC champions.

I don't play twitch but I would imagine armor pen wouldn't be all that effective on him right now. I like attack speed runes to help stack his poison early on. His early game "burst" is deceptively strong but you have to capitalize on the fact at level 2 you can kill someone at around 500HP if they choose to fight you. I tried: -Attack speed red/Quint -Armor yellow -MR blue 14/16/0 (SoS, 1 harden skin, 2 defensive mastery, HP, armor pen, magic pen) Seems to work "ok" Rejuv bead + 4 health potions + 2 mana potions. He has real issues sustaining both mana and health so he needs help on both ends~

Wriggles was amazing on Twitch for that reason, literally invulnerable while ulti-ing minions. With the nerf you might want to go for something like Emblem

Don't lane twitch vs people that can beat him early on, which is a lot of people. Don't lane him vs Corki/Teemo. He's just going to get rolled. Most melee champions will probably have to leave him alone because that true damage passive REALLY hurts if you let him poke you repeatedly, and you have exhaust which will punish ghost/igniters if they commit on you and miscalculate. I don't know the champions too well but I don't think people like Jarvan/Renekton can actually take on attack-speed twitch while eating creep aggro, at least early on, although your ability to deny them will also be pretty bad. He should also be able to lane vs Ashe and most mediocre Ezreals without too much difficulty.

not only is his cc far inferior to ashe's, his autoattack range without his ultimate is extremely inferior (500 as compared to 600) and thus his ability to lightly poke without wasting his #1 engage skill is extremely limited. he doesn't even have the necessary cc to cover up for his lack of escapes. the reason why he was so highly regarded before the change to his ult and other tweaks was that his pure damage output was just uncomparable because his ult was limited by time rather than # of shots taken, so with high enough aspd and crit and damage he could literally 1v5 if he had good positioning (and with proper support and farm easily do so). if i had to play twitch as a solo lane i might even go something like exhaust ignite (switch in flash for one of those as needed / preferred or take both if u really wanna cheese someone) and abuse stealth and passive mechanic and whatever u picked to try to set them back extremely hard early. would probably work better the less hp potions they bought, so a cv that reveals that might be rewarding (to pick lane appropriately). kinda cheesy but it might work. i would probably stick to more of a roam / push / map control kind of thing, but then you end up running a bit lower on farm unless you're really successful. any input on how to play the bugger would be great, because i've only touched him once since the huge nerfs.
