Being good at leading the team is probably the most useful skill to have. If you don't get your team to listen to your orders then you have to become a better leader (don't ask me how).
Making sure that everyone on your team has a decent amount of gold helps too btw. You going 20-0 while the rest is 1-5 and all enemies are 4-5 is NOT good unless you can literally win the game alone. Yeah, I'm well aware of this. I try to kill steal as little as possible with Akali since she's so good at actually stealing. I will admit I am a bit greedy sometimes but I'm working on it. I like to make sure the dude's actually going to die. I've noticed it's harder on EU since I don't find too many people who speak English. Do people seriously still believe in kill stealing? You can't killsteal in LoL, simple as that. Anyone that complains about it is still far from being even average at this game. I once had some idiot that let a kill go by and said "sorry didn't want to killsteal". Kills are kills and gold is gold. Nobody in this game is seriously saving his skills just to steal a kill. Okay, that guy is just an idiot. But if I'm playing some support like Janna and I'm 100 fucking percent sure we are going to get the kill, then I'll hold off on attacking so the carry can get more $$$.

I'd rather, if I was a support, go cover the possible escape route or something and then kill them if they try to escape through that. I wouldn't ever trust anyone else with the kill, the assist gold is pretty significant too and exp is the main thing about kills that they will get even if you do KS

Killstealing in a 2v1 situation is gonna trigger assist gold which is a jump from 300 gold per kill to 475 gold per kill (team-wise). This is pretty huge and you should be doing it whenever possible.
|
There are definitely situations where you should concede the kill to the carry. Sometimes it can also be for courtesy. You can 2v1 and get the assist without stealing the kill.

I was 3-0 solo top jax, master yi was 0-3, I took 2 tower, and my team blame me no help, trololol #1 ap shaco

Kill stealing is basically the same thing as Elo hell and "wtf no mia": Very popular excuse

I can't speak for high elo play, but I have the opinion to always try to prevent the bad teammate from getting the kill, especially if he/she is not capable of helping to get the victory. I find most of these players end up wasting their gold on shit builds.

like, is that my fault if our whole team was trying to bait enemy team with shaco's box, but then got aced trolololol
I feel so bad, because 4 of my team was yelling to me whole game, probably 4s premade, sigh.
Im done for today lulz

KS is perfectly fine. I don't know why people make a big deal out of it.
|
Well it's not fine when a support does it. But when a carry does it, who really cares? ;o
|
its a big deal in dota, not as big in lol but the dota experience carries over.
|
why isnt there a "If a teammate leaves from the 1-20 minute mark its a Loss Forgiven" policy?

Sometimes as AP Alistar I save my punt to last hit someone, although more often than not it's because I don't want to punt them too early and away to safety.

Oh god I remember playing on Bnet way back then and people would yell and argue about literally EVERY FUCKING KILL that ever happened. But a ton of people were serious dicks about it and would Lina/Lion ult a person with 300 HP that is being focussed by 4 people.

You definitely should avoid taking kills from your ranged AD before he finishes his IE. Other than that it's usually fine.

I'm done with this game and going back to dota the community is crap. Full of racist asshats. Played it for a day in every game I played I met someone who repeatably spammed crap all game long. A game or two I even got picked on for doing nothing wrong mind I'm level 6, I'm stilling going positive putting up huge assists but to these people everything is my fault. Its as if I'm expected to know the game in and out straight away.... I'm by no means a noob been paying Dota a while and almost always go positive and have a large amount of assists (I enjoy playing support.)

As long as they dont do KS to annoy me I dont care at all. and neither should you.

And you think the DotA comunity is any different? I remember trying to get into it years ago, being banned/blacklisted ridiculed in every game because I didn't immediately know what to do.
I would suggest being a little more patient. /Ignore is your friend.

It's so rage inducing when you don't get every kill where you are anywhere near, and don't get all your team's blues and reds.
