Seems really stupid to advertise WCG like "Can you beat CLG?" and then make an elaborate post about "Oh wait, CLG can't compete because they have 3 Canadians and 2 Americans lololol" That being said I guess it will make WCG a more interesting tournament in some ways since it's not CLG instant win, but it's really going to screw over most of the EU teams except all French AAA. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I feel its cool they're going for an olympic feel but I'm not sure it will work out as well as they want it to. It's entirely possible that the final could be CCLG vs UCLG (canadian clg vs usa clg) and that would interesting to watch at the very least but it could stifle team cohesion and lead to that all french team (who practices together etc etc) to win.

Cant say stuff like this without me being curious and im pretty sure its something which happend on stream Basically TSM had to play some 1400 scrubs in second round of NESL. And at some point Regi typed [/all i'm coming ww.] cause he saw ww doing blue, after saying this the ww backed off for a few secs but then started blue again as TSM were too far away to do anything anyway. A couple of minutes after that, the enemy's ww is very low on hp after a teamfight, TSM decide to chase almost till their base after which Loco playing Corki jumped over into their base and tried to finish of ww. Two enemy players had already respawned but Loco managed to flash over back into safety and out of the enemy base. After this Regi started raging against Loco for not try-harding and Loco defended by saying that the game didn't feel try-hard anymore after Regi allchatted. Regi continued his rage against Loco and told him that he needs to explain why and blablablablablabal, rage rage rage. In the end, Regi gave up his spot for Feedfest to play I think (quit watching stream after 20 minutes of rage). tl;dr Regi vented his rage for not winning against CLG against Loco in a game that didn't need to be played try-hard for not try-harding after he himself made a clear plunge into the non-try-hard pool. or On March 07 2011 23:21 phyvo wrote: Check pages 436-7. As for the EU teams, I imagine a similar thing will happen with new teams being made for WCG from the top teams so that they can actually compete. Jiji was talking about this earlier on his stream with Chauster. This is what was pretty much decided that unless the rules can get changed some way they will end up having two teams. So team CLG Canada would be HotshotGG Elementz and Jiji. They take a notable hit in losing their main jungle. So top Canadian jungle will be a challenge to pick up, however if Theoddone is actually Canadian I believe they will pick him up easily. The fifth spot would be really whoever they found to be decent enough to fill. Team America CLG will have a much easier time filling their roster as the player pool is much larger. As their roster shows now, they will only have to pick up 1 or 2 players, depending on if Loci is going to participate. This could easily play out since this is just for the WCG, and not the weekly esl tournaments, that the main CLG team will just continue to dominate. Though if for some reason they did stick to the double CLG teams for the esl, I believe that would make for a more interesting competitive scene, but I doubt this will happen.

Is Scrubblelift American or Canadian? He's in their vent enough where he seems like he could go to one of them, especially Canada since he's Hotshot's duo queue sidekick.

Doublelift lives in the states, so he wouldn't be a huge asset of a pickup for CLG. As he is pretty much countered with a ban. Some respected Canadians that could go with Hotshot. However last year you had to be a current resident in Canada to participate. So I'd imagine its the same way this year. Which is a shame, it would have been fun to see! Though since WCG didn't do anything special to retire sc1 I don't think I will support this years event. Its just enjoyable to speculate how CLG will go for a 1 2 finish.

Really dumb from a competition point of view but it doesn't matter, WCG's always been a joke and I don't expect it to stop becoming one.
