I'm new to HotS, and I was wondering: after how much time the price of heroes drops? Is there a fixed time, or it depends on Blizzard's choice? Is it worth to wait to purchase expensive heroes, or is it not? In particular I would like to buy the Lost Vikings, but I don't know if it's better to buy other heroes first and wait for the LV's price to drop, or if this is no-sensed. Thank you in advance! | ||

When a new hero is released there's normally a price drop on a hero (afaik, only been in beta since TLV came out), for example when Sylvanas came out Anub'arak was dropped from 10k to 4k. If you want TLV just buy them, they're one of the newest heroes and won't get a price reduction for a LONG time. For reference Blizzard aim to release a new hero every 4-6 weeks. Edit: If you're talking about actual real money prices, Blizzard sell either: One hero, one skin for that hero, and a random skin or One hero, one skin for that hero, and a mount each week for half price, they generally announce each Friday what will be on sale the following week. | ||

I'm also pretty sure certain heroes will never see a price drop (or won't for an extremely long time). I don't see heroes like Abathur or TLV ever being under 10k. other heroes drop price when blizzard want. they have been some reduction price on the past but no really any info about when will happend again. | ||

Do you win more gold in ranked than in quick game ? because 20-30 seems really low to me, 500 games for a champion is a lot :D | ||

That's quicker than they come out atm. | ||

1) 2015-01-14 Stitches (price dropped from 10k to 7k at start of closed beta) 2) 2014-03-25 Anub'arak (price dropped from 10k to 4k at launch of Sylvanas patch) New heroes on the other hand are priced 15k for the first two weeks after their launch. After that their price is dropped to 10k. | ||
