I don't know about Zeratul.
By playing him more and more I get the impression that although my plays are greats and can do a bunch of cool stuff, and I can have a lot of influence when we get a kill, I wonder if I would simply be better as any other assasin.
Because zeratyl can only uses his skills and then leaves, and even with the double spike or whatever its called he does little damage compared to other assassins, so although when he does his stuff can be very deadly I wonder if just playing another assassin who can deal damage for more time is a better pick.

Mid/late his burst combo does slightly over half the health of an assassin, and with Wormhole you can just pop up, burst them, pop back out, then do it again 12 seconds later. Forcing them to be that defensive is quite the boon.

Probably depends upon your playstyle. Zeratul requires more patience and deliberation than any other hero in the game. A high degree of map awareness is important, too, so that you know when to go "all in" and, perhaps more importantly, when not to. Zeratul certainly has the tools to exert a ton of influence on games and teamfights, but he certainly is no where near as straightforward to play as the other assassins. If you want to play a more "straight up" type of game that is 5v5 team fight heavy, then Zeratul probably isn't going to be an optimal choice. Zeratul really needs to be played creatively and asymmetrically to get the most out of him.

Yeah and i agree but what I meant with that is that sometimes I feel that another assassin who can stay in the fight much longer like thycus and valla would be better for the team. I agree that zeratul is one of the best designed heroes on the game and that it needs to be played differently I just wonder if its as effective.

How do I click on the garden terror to get it faster? I noticed that my teammates are able to do it way before me normally.

could be latency between their animation starting to show on your screen and actually doing on the server.

Zeratul has one huge advantage over a lot of assassins. He can go in, burst and get out safely. Yeah he may not have the burst of Nova, but Nova was designed around burst, that's her role, her niche. Zeratul's is more of a constant and deadly presence in fights.

-> New Maps? (The ones shown at Blizzcon, will they be available immediately?)
-> New Chars? (Thrall/Lost Vikings?)
-> Ranked? (That's the least I'm hoping for to be honest...) And if so: I probably have to be able to play ~10 Heroes to play ranked? Which would be kinda stupid, because getting the champs is an endless journey without paying any money :-?

There are seven free heroes so picking up three 2k heroes should be very trivial. If bans are implemented and you need more then there might not be enough 2k heroes to stock up on. They said ranked would require level 30 or 40 anyway so you should have unlocked enough heroes regardless.

Well, I played LoL and over there the f2p heroes are locked for ranked games. That's probably why I'm concerned about this. And I really found no information about the beta whatsoever beside the fact that it's gonna start in about 2 weeks.

The free heroes weren't always locked in league. That feature must have been added at some point (haven't played since season 1). I don't see Blizzard disabling the free heroes for ranked, but if they do I won't be able to play so maybe that is just wishful thinking.

They disabled it during S1 or the start of 2, and for good reason. How would you feel if you played a ranked game where someone was talent gated with a hero they'd never played before but was free that week?

I'd feel like Blizzard is stupid for not getting rid of that pointless game system yet.

I think it was said at Blizz con that you would need to own ten heroes, so the free rotation heroes do not count.
But by level 40, if you do the dailies and level all free rotation heroes to level 5 for the gold reward while leveling to 40, you should have enough to get ten heroes fairly quickly or be close enough. I'm in the alpha for less than a month and have ten heroes (granted, I bought the starter bundle with Raynor, Malf, Muradin for like 3.5€, so I didn't get there f2p).

Yeah, the thing is depending on how much you play with friends, the faster you get to 40, and so, you have less gold on lvl 40 than the people who didn't play with friends.
But i think they have calculated that, if you play mostly with friend i think you can have 10, but you will need most of the 2k gold heroes

The main issue here is that for level 25+ there are no rewards. I mean, I bought a 10k champion (Chen) and I got another 13k gold left to spend and I'm currently level 36. I'd have to buy all the 2k champs + 1 4k champ and I'd still be quite far away from the 10 champions I need.
Such a system might work for a game with lots of champions, but right now I'd have to buy 1/3 of the champions to be allowed to play, which seems weird to me. I'm probably gonna buy the Nexus Bundle and still reach the 10 playable champions, but I feel like playing to level 40 should be enough to play ranked.
And I'd say the system won't prevent someone from playing ranked with a champ they've never played. If I have to buy a champion I don't want to buy, just because I have to buy ANYTHING... well... I don't think I'd play the champion very often anyway.

Yeah the thing is you need 10 champions because there can't be duplicates (contrary on what happens on versus right now that you get arthas vs arthas and so on).
They were saying that maybe they would restric ranked to lvl4+ heores.
The thing is, yeah if you buy 1 or two 10k heroes you'll have a hard time getting the 10. They need to increase the heroes at the 2-7k range, i think they startet too fast with the model of 15k heroes-->10k, and should have released more cheap heroes before that.
Also whats up with all these people with master skins? the last few days iv'e been playing and every game theres at leat one. Or is it jsut ebcause i have a higher mmr now? cause i dont remember seeing them that frequently.
