For a boy I would(and I would suggest) for you to name him Darren. For a girl I would say Nayeli(lovely name).

Eric - all the people named I have met named Eric have been really compassionate and upstanding individuals. (Watch your child turn out the be the devil child lol.)
Erica - if your child turns out to be a girl.

Michelle (for girl obviously)- even though this is one of many widely-used names, I still think it's nice.
And for guy, I like Kevin a lot. You can't go wrong with Kevin.

So you could have somone named Yo Wah Sup?
I suck at boys' names, but if it's a girl I would name her Siobhan. It's spelled in such a cool way and it sounds nice too.

Absolutely. Kevin is the coolest name ever.

Don't go with an average, meaningless American name like Kevin please. If you're actually polling or really thinking about a name, choose something less lame. Picking a name that can be pulled out of a hat or something is no fun.
The great thing about non American names is that they are infused with meaning and many have cool stories behind it. I'm not saying that all American names are totally meaningless, I'm sure a lot of people have good reasons their parents chose that name or whatever.. but in and of themselves, wtf does a name like Kyle, Jason, or Tim mean aside from just being a name? Biblical references?
In conclusion, go with a name that means something!
I don't have a particular name to suggest.

The boy's name Kyle \k(y)-le\, also used as girl's name Kyle, is pronounced kyl. It is of Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "narrow, straight". Place name that refers either to a narrow body of water between two land masses, or to a peninsula or isthmus.
The boy's name Jason \j(a)-son\ is pronounced JAY-sun. It is of Greek and Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "healer; the Lord is salvation". Variant of Joshua. Biblical: an early Christian associate of Paul. Greek mythology: Jason was leader of a group of warrior heroes called the Argonauts.
The boy's name Timothy \t(i)-mo-thy\ is pronounced TIM-oh-thee. It is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "God's honor". Biblical: Timothy was an energetic, well-trained young Christian who was a companion of Saint Paul, who wrote to him, "Let no man look down on your youth". According to tradition, he was martyred after denouncing worshippers of the Greek moon goddess Diana.
Dude... seriously...

Oooo... you just insulted my parents. Die die die...
And just for your info, when I'm around, Kevin means awesome.
(If anything, I thought Kevin, Bruce and Sheila were West Australian names of the 70s/80s)

So if you like biblical names and James is too common why not take the more original and less used Jacob? The transition into japanese should be well enough (I'd go for Yakobu instead of Jaikobu though) and personally I think Jacob Ono sounds great.
