There is only one RTS, Starcraft, everything else is trash.

That is what one finds out after they have touched starcraft, no other RTS compares to it. Even if you tried another one, you'll drop it after an hr or two and go back to Starcraft, at least from my experience.

Starcraft has also helped me save money!!! WOOT WOOT, since all other RTS suck compared to it, I don't buy them ROFL

I stopped other hobbies such as sports and shit to play StarCraft all day long. Maybe not such a good thing? Really the sole reason I got into PC gaming.

I was a total slacker before I found pro Starcraft. Working hard at Starcraft taught me how to work hard at stuff in general. I'd never admit it in real life, but a video game did actually make a pretty big change in me.

I learned to how browse the internet through starcraft surprisingly enough.I didn't know much of computers/internet back then and wasn't interested either until a friend introduced the game to me :/

Starcraft is something I enjoy now, as much as I enjoyed when I was 10 years old, and that's a pretty big deal in my opinion. Maybe when I'm fifty I'll reinstall SC:BW instead of buying a sports car

Starcraft directly affects my mood for the day. For example: if i lose 10 straight games in a row on iccup i feel pretty shitty and don't feel like doing anything that day. And if i lose a 40 minute game that i should've won i feel even shittier. If i win 10 straight games i feel pretty good for the rest of the day. It just made me really competitive.

On a side note Empyrean is a loser and anyone who quotes him again is a bigger loser. You don't have to read every forum on TL and if you think this one is a waste of your time then don't post in it. The kids got love for SC leave him alone.

I think above all Starcraft taught me that it doesnt matter what others think, all it matters is that if you love something you should be passionate about it regardless of how soceity shackles you with its pointless cynicisms. Then you'll have a really great, rewarding time. This blind drive when it comes to certain things I love is a trait of me I really like, and has led me to some great things in life so far, and to think a lot of it is attributed to my involvement with a computer game.

StarCraft is a tool I used to fuck my development as a person.

I would have found something else if it wasnt for SC tho.

But one thing SC showed me is the enormous potential of multitasking.
I can do so much things at the same time now.
