And I also dont get those statements '' this and that guy saved many persons life but because of it he died and is a hero '' . I can imagine so few situations where that works and.. well maybe I m just a bit slow today, but I just dont get how this special case happened and how in general this happens.. Maybe I m just confused because after a learning period of 5 hours with little pauses I m now .. bah =/ my condolesce.. this is sad sad shit ![]()

Then perhaps after he had achieved that he had no strength left to stop himself from being dragged under. The main thought is; he risked and ultimately did sacrifice his own life to aid others in trouble. It is a heroic act, if you define heroism as self-sacrifice for a noble cause. He displayed heroic qualities and so on and so forth. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hero 2. a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal: He was a local hero when he saved the drowning child. Strange that happens to be one of the examples they've used. Suppose that's why it rings true.

But when you take your heroism so far that you take such a big risk, you are a tad more heroic than that other guy. Who did something less.
