Of course there is the option of just cooking beef with water, that's called some other names.
Ya I took Chinese school for a really long time but it didn't help me at all, when I stayed in China for 2 months that's when I became a lot better at Chinese. My vocabulary is still weak and my writing skills are bad (but Chinese class just was opened at my school) but I can speak daily language.
Lol, Chinese vegetables are great. By the way, 菜 does not just refer to vegetables but rather "dish", so it's basically any item of Chinese food. 芹菜 / 青菜 / qingcai is specific to vegetables (not sure if I spelled that right).
Anyone referring to Chinese school is basically referring to a school that teaches the language. Don't think there are any schools that keep up with China's national curriculum.

Seems so much more logical to type up what it is in English rather than spam Chinese, especially when the latter are just full of mistakes thus far.
As for Chinese food? hum.. in my opinion, best in the world, hands down the best cuisine in the world. I wish I could have this.. yuxiang rousi NOW I love western China cuisine in particular. Spicy > owns all.
