Heloo there. Well, let me start by saying I've been in a relationship for 5 months and I've been smoking weed for 6 months. I have an addictive personality. Well, I don't really know if I do, I just feel like that term best fits "I don't know what to do once [insert addiction] is gone!" I also have a part time job(in other words... I'm not your typical stoner bum).
My girlfriend has brought it up many times that she doesn't like smoking weed. Me, being a man, tell her "fuck you" most of the time because I really didn't feel like quitting. Thing is... the reason I feel so shitty about quitting is because it has already become a habitual thing, going out to smoke, coming back to smoke, smoking in the night, smoking in the day.
That's one problem, another is sex. It's already become habit to bring my girlfriend home after college/during the week and, right when we get there, we start getting intimate, foreplay for hours and then eventually do it. Thing is, I use to last a shitload. Now, I don't, but, I can go again right after, that kind of makes up for it. But... once we're done having sex, it's like we've forgotten what to do(her also.. but, apparently, it's the guys job to be creative and think of ways to entertain her).
The reason I've forgotten how to do things with my girlfriend is because she doesn't like me smoking weed. If she would have liked me smoking weed and, maybe, would smoke with me, things would be a lot more different. She doesn't like it though, so, no chance in that happening. So, I just have weed on the mind, with her I have sex on the mind and once that's done, back to weed on the mind. She wants me to quit...
Now, what is it that you think I am asking for? What can I dooooooooo? If I quit weed... I'll be so fucking bored out of my mind. It's like I've forgotten what to do without weed... that's what makes it hard for me to quit. I try to think back to the times when I use to not smoke and would hang out with friends for hours... I can't even imagine how I'd hang out with friends for hours without weed now XD! Any advice? ><

Well since i know the town your coming from there isn't much to do except escape....Join a N/A meeting and take her with you....I'm sure there won't be many people in the group since I know mainly everyone down in the valley uses...But hey the advice I give is just for shits and giggles..

Just try to reduce your usage of Weed weekly. And eventually your daily craving for Weed will decrease. If you smoke weed once a month, I'm sure she won't complain right? Or you can quit entirely if you already gotten that far. For entertainment, play on iccup to pass time

It's obvious: the weed blocks your creativity, your ability to entertain yourself and others. So to hell with that stuff, some difficult weeks afterwoods, but then you'll be back to normal.
...and SC is the best drug anyways.

^ I havent smoked weed in 6 months but I still can't seem to enjoy playing sc much without being high or drunk....Otherwise I rather play nintendo 64 sober...Mario 64 rocks!

Don't worry. It's not a personality issue. Just an age/maturity issue. The urge to get laid every weekend and smoke weed at all times is just part of HS syndrome. So you are either in HS or you are on your way to become a hopeless crackhead.
And what's with the "fuck you" bravado thing to you gf? That's not manly, that's just moronic. Too many of those "fuck you"'s and she will end up cutting off the sex, if not the relationship at all.

You sound very immature, i second the post above me that once/IF you become more mature/older you'll learn to deal with things such as these. If not, you'll let the addiction control your life and end up on street eventually.

There are tons of things to do. How about spending sometime to improve on your career path? Investing? Do sport? Play music? Drawing? Traveling? Do something decent to your life with/without smoking weeds.
The point is, you're just a lazy ass. Think of who you want to see yourself to be 5 years from now and start to do something to archive that goal. Start from small/feasible goals.

Actually you wouldn't want to know what they put in the water.....He lives close to the border of mexico...So it can range from drugs and escalate to dead bodies *that tried* to cross the Rio Grande River. So in your regards you should ask "what dont they put in the water?" It is not good to drink the tap water there anyways....It doesnt taste good either....If you should assume.

You have a difficult decision to make. Stopping smoking weed for a girl you have been dating for 5 months might be going to far. For all you know you will just break up in a few months anyways. But, if you really cant find enjoyment outside of getting high, then maybe stopping getting high will be the better thing to do in the long run. A 5 month relationship is not long, and 6 months getting high is not long either. After 6 months you should be able to quit fairly easy. I've been high everyday for 7 years with only a few exceptions due to travelling. There is a part of me that wants to tell you to enjoy every joint you can, but another part wants me to tell you to just stop getting high everyday.
I was in a similar situation a few years ago with a girl who wanted me to stop. The first year of our relationship she would ask me to stop all the time. Eventually she just gave up and accepted me for who I am. That is what a relationship should be based on, mutual enjoyment of each other. If she doesnt like the real you, then maybe you arent meant to be. You shouldnt change yourself because someone you are with wants to be dating a different version of you. You are who you are. She needs to acept that. I ended up dating this girl for 3.5 years and we ended up breaking up because we are just not compatible. We still like each other and talk from time to time, but we were mature enough to just realise that we were not right for each other.

cliche but.. dont do it for her.. do it for you.. i always tell myself this because i constantly forget.. if you do it for her any repercussions will be on her and your resentment will be on her. if you do it for yourself, you take 100% responsibility for your actions.. and her being happy would be a huge perk.
