I know there's been "post your sneakers" threads, but I didn't find any threads for big sneakerheads like myself. (In other words: haji don't yell at me)
I don't really consider myself a collector, but I like to study, buy, and wear sneakers. I do consider myself to be an amateur sneaker historian. I read "Where'd You Get Those?" by Bobbito Garcia (New York City sneaker scene from 60's to mid-80's) and "Pitch Invasion" by Barbara Smit (History of Adi and Rudolf Dassler), and many other books and magazines.
Aaaaanyway, this is the list of sneakers I have.
I personally dont' believe in shrink-wrapping or 'keeping on ice.' I only buy sneakers to put them on my feet and be fresh. My philosophy is: sneakers are art that belongs on your feet, not in some display case.

As you can see, I'm more into way oldschool styles. I tend to stick with Onitsuka, adidas, Puma and Nike. All of the new brands (BAPE, Ice Cream, etc etc) don't interest me. No brand history = not interesting. Reebok doesn't do it for me either (ugly shoes)
For some reason I'm not that into Jordans (although I should really get a pair of II's or III's). I'm also not really into all the limited edition SB Dunks that tend to dominate the sneaker scene these days. To me, it's kinda sad when you see someone's collection and all they have is 50 Dunks.
Actually the list of classics that I don't have is pretty long (no Air Max series, no Stan Smith or Campus, no Pro-keds, etc.) I can't believe I actually have three pairs of El Reys, but the special designs were too witty (and they are cheap).
My current wish list:
- New Balance 574
- adidas Rod Laver white/green
- a nice, crisp Nike Air Max 90 (best Air Max by far)
- adidas Campus
- more Clydes! (you can never have enough Clydes)
oh and I would be willing to do very bad things for a pair of adicolor BK1 (collette Superstar II)
I would be willing to do ever more bad things for Puma to bring their "Yo! MTV Raps" collaboration series to a store within my country.

I only have one pair of sneakers
some white K-Swiss that cost 60 dollars
T.T they got completely wrecked within a week of walking and running.

I don't really have a collection. I only buy shoes once the ones I wear are worn out.
Right now I'm rocking Adidas Superstars (the black shelltoes). Run DMC style : D.
For work I wear Le Coq Sportif's black leather ones.

Do many sneakerheads wear women's sneakers? Or am I mistaken about Air Force 1 Woman's (white/laser blue)?

They are a women's design, but they were really nice (click for pic) and for some reason they had my size. I don't know about other sneakerheads though.

yeah man, that's way too many shoes ><. nothing beats having a new pair of kicks tho =p
Tigers are nice. Ive still got mine, but they are beat to shit now =[
Pumas are nice and ive got a few diesel's around.
PS. steve madden has to be the worst expensive shoe. Every pair ive owned was fallng apart within weeks.

I've been looking for Seacrystals for ages, if you get em hook a brother up, I really couldnt care less about condition. The more holes/stains/skuffs the better. I really think they are the best dunks ever made.

I don't consider my pumas, Adidas, forces, and Vans as collectibles because they are my everyday beaters. But i used to collect Kicks and these are some that i have, boxed in my closet.
Nike SB's : Purple Pigeons(2 pairs), SEND HELPS, Brian Anderson, DS Lucky Cats
Jordans : 1's metalic black and gold, DS 1's Old Love New Love, 4's Military's
Airmax : 95's : a pair of yellow/black/white and a pair of black/baby blue

I am about to buy some shoes, and I loved the new wall of Jordan's I saw. Rec some.
But I know 0 about shoes cept rap song shit but not very interested in rap shoes -_____-;;

Onitsuka Tiger! my gf is a fan of their shoes and did a modelling job for their clothing line last year. i had never heard of the brand before but promised i'll try some of their stuff one day ^^

nah, they have mens =p they were these nice black leather ones. the soles were destroyed les than a month later

I had some steve madden dress shoes.
They broke apart in about a month two.
Then I bought another pair of diff shoes.
They've held together but I feel half half about them now.

Oh yeah baby, Onitsuka Tigers are the most comfortable shoes Ive ever had the pleasure of wearing. Right Now I usually rock the forestgreen/orange/brown ones cause forsome reason those are the most comfortable, but ive also got black/yellow/ red/white/blue and white/red.
I have quite the collection of shoes myself, not so much to be a collector, but because im a clothes whore and like tossin up my game with different outfits ;p I must also add that you have good taste and I have more then a few pairs out of your collection as well ^^
So anyway yeah, anyone who hasnt worn a tiger, your missin out!

Cars and shoes seem to really concern people but for some reason. I have an uncle that is completely insane about both. I just expect them to fulfill their basic purpose and that's it. I've had the same two pairs of shoes and sandals for three years.

This thread reminds me of this friend of mine who has like 15 pairs of shoes. He has one for like every outfit, it's crazy. Actually, this whole group of people I know have a pair of shoes for every occasion. I need new shoes, though. Why don't you send me over a pair HT?

I really want a pair of Dunks, but I usual try some on and think that the shoes are to bulky for my style. I generally wear things like Vans (I have the prision issue (white/white), authentic (black), and slipon (z-cube)) and they seem so much slimmer.
I also have some Onitsuka Ultimate 81's (blue/champaign and sunset) which are pretty bitchin' as well as some black Chuck's.

Basically I have a pair of run down sneakers, but they are comfortable. But not as comfortable as Airwalks.
