German debt to GDP = 64 % US = 120 %
German bond yields (10 year) = 3.43% US Bond yields (10 year) = 5.13%
Even if we take France, the second largest EU economy and supporter of Ukraine, their debt and bond yields are still better then the US.
You have no idea what you are talking about, as usual.
The things you haven't addressed (again, as usual) are the things I called out, which is the absolute silly small size of Russian economy and even Military budget when compared to EU.
The economies of EU aren't having issues because of Ukraine, they are having the same issues they have been dealing with, successfully, for decades while maintaining the highest standard of living in the world, across the board.
Year-on-year growth reached 1.2% for the EU and 1.0% for the Eurozone.
Spain, which is "substantially worse" then Germany is at a 100 % Debt to GDP ratio and has grown 2.7 % year over year.
The biggest issues the EU countries have are all stemming form shit being stirred by US, Russia and Israel, which caused the current and ongoing (since 2022) energy crisis, still, all the doomer-ism about that has turned out very much wrong.
In conclusion, you are, once again conflating a bunch of things, misunderstanding things you clearly know nothing about and stating stupid shit confidently.
France and India, lol, that one is really, really dumb.
Please educate yourself.
Many of the highest standard of living is funded by debt, that's the point. There's good debt and there's bad debt.
The US economy has been out growing Europe over decades AND the USD is the reserve currency. It's in much better shape than France and most probably than Germany. They are also stuck with EURO rather than their own currency. Spain is another example why growth is also important; their bond market is doing fairly good compared to France.
For EU, the YOY growth isn't impressive by any matric, it's a rebound. This isn't a short-term problem, this has been an ongoing issue for decade, falling behind against many major economies.
If France situation gets any worse, that will have a major spillover effect to the entire EU because it's too large to fail, unlike Greece. And France is not only one major EU nations that are having issues.
I know looking at numbers seem to make a lot of sense to you, the problem is the underlying economy are different. i.e. the USD, the EURO, growth and bond buyers' confidence. US can print, France can't.
and I didn't say EU economy is bad due to Ukraine, I said the lending to Ukraine is out of political will. Whether the people are going to continue to support Ukraine loans, that's really the issue.
Germany is facing a lot of oppositions about cutting social benefits while funding Ukraine. Obviously same sentiments are going to be much bigger in France etc.
France and India are literally being discussed as a whole wave of protest in the news, as led by Gen Z movement. Not sure why you are calling it really really dumb.
I present numbers, you present bullshit because you know nothing about the subject at hand.
When you want to talk about numbers, then we might have a discussion, you have once again ignored the abhorrent US debt numbers, the very, very bad trend for their bond yields and insane deficit spending and debt payments, despite that you keep on blabbering on about how bad a shape Germany is in, when it sits on excellent credit rating and the main problem it currently has (other then uninformed people like you falling for propaganda about immigrants and "strong Russia") is that they have labor shortages.
So I'm guessing that's where you are getting your "France and India" in the same news cycle, no one in their right mind would compare these because they are vastly different movements which are a response to completely different issues, and the responses are by completely different cohort of people.
France protests on the other hand were started by kids in high school, while the cockroach movement in India is based on an internet joke that was borne from a a parody Instagram page making fun of a judge calling young people cockroaches.
Of course, to you, it's all the same because you don't understand the world beyond the surface level propaganda you consume.
Ugh, I know I just posted but god damn, that fucking ghoul Witkoff saying to Putin that he, just like Trump are great humanitarians just triggers the fuck out of me.
The fucking monster who ordered countless war crimes, who just murdered a fucking family in a park including a toddler yesterday is being called a humanitarian by the official envoy of the USA.
And the other humanitarian is a child rapist who blew up a school with 170 girls half a year ago.
I hope all 3 of these pieces of shit get the most aggressive and painful form of cancer imaginable and die a slow, painful death.

To be fair, protests in France are a bit more complicated than that. You have legitimate students and union workers protesting, mostly by day and in peaceful, organized fashion and then you have gangs of opportunists and looters using those protests to stir shit up and pillage by night. Quite a few of those rioting looters are immigrants that failed (or didn't want) to integrate with the society they entered.
So, there are at least 2 different underlying problems, each of which requires a different solution (legitimate students and union workers need to have at least some of their demands appeased while the looters need to be cracked on).
Aside from that you're absolutely right. EU economy has its problems but nothing that couldn't be managed while the US economy is facing tremendous strain and isn't really prepared to deal with everything that's going on right now.
Despite the isolationists' beliefs the US is not self-sustainable - it could be but they decided to outsource almost everything and now they're paying the price. Insane debt coupled with economic problems on various levels and lack of diversity in the economy. Their whole economy right now is being propped up by 7 tech companies. If you look at their stock tech is up but everything else is down, so the only sector doing ok is highly speculative one that doesn't really produce any value outside of stock prices and runs on investment money because their expenditure is multitudes larger than their income.
Add in the fact that with recent US foreign policies the rest of the world has started to cut their ties, dropping stocks of USD as reserve currency (weakening the dollar), finding other partners for trade etc.
Even now the EU legislators are considering restricting SpaceX from using certain radio bands after their recent stunt in Ukraine.

Now that is a livestream I'd pay for.
Almost every time I watch the news now and Trump or his cronies open their mouths all I can really feel is just numb rage.
And I guess Russians are just having a good laugh. Trump goes out in public telling everyone how Putin is a great guy and how Russia is awesome and a good friend to America and at the same time you have Lavrov saying publicly that the West is no longer calling the shots and there's been a pivot to them now being the real power, announcing tighter cooperation with Iran and their joint nuclear program etc.

No, he's just an idiot who's in Putin's pocket, just like Trump.
And the worst part is that I think they really believe that Putin is their friend and partner when in reality they're nothing more than dumb tools for him. They (Trump, Musk et al.) simply can't comprehend how someone might not want more money, which plays right into Russia's hand where for them money is just another tool to be used towards their ultimate goal (subjugation of all others). Russia is about ideology while US is about money.

If we gone by your logic, UST would have been dumped far earlier, and bond would have rushed to elsewhere. Even in your own example Spain got a decent bond buy recently, because their economy was doing better despite the high debt.
Of course, to you, it's all the same because you don't understand the world beyond the surface level propaganda you consume.
It's not propaganda, it's basic monetary policy. it's not JUST about numbers, it's about a lack of monetary tools for France/Germany . France is stuck because of the debt, low growth and a lack of their own currency that they can't print. Yeah Germany credit rating is good, except the chancellor himself knows he needs to be conservative without a way to print money like other. that's the entire point. It's not numbers that concern bond buyers alone, what it is that concern the bond buyers more.
Talk to anyone with an economic background, they can confirm that for you. Even France would be in a better position if they had their own currency and not subjected to EURO. It takes away one of the biggest tools central banks can have.

Having the Euro as it's currency has little to do with French economic problems. In fact bond yields are similar to the US who can print. It's missing 1 tool but on the other hand it has others from EU. France is basically 1 "acceptable" budget away from being OK as EU mechanisms can then kick in and their bond yields will go way down.
If anything the only way inflating their way out of this mess would be superior is that it wouldn't require a political decision. You could make the French poorer gradually and curb the benefits that way. Which tells us France has a political problem more than anything.
Arguably Macrons statements on this being mainly the Iranian wars fault has some merit. The increased fuel costs and inflation has a large effect on the EU. Passing an acceptable budget would be far easier politically if the pre-Iran trajectory had been held. Before that tariffs fucked things up. Before that the war in Ukraine (which would likely be over by now if Trump hadn't gotten elected again).
As other have noted, you have a very simplistic "GDP growth = only measure of country's success" view of the world, so it doesn't really make sense to try to discuss this with you because you can't address the actual numbers, at all and you keep on yapping about growth and Euro when this has nothing to do with it.
Anyhow, about the protests.
Again, I and others pointed out the nuances of this, just because media decides to report on all protests in a simplistic way that doesn't mean that the protests have real core similarities.
The guy who burned down the French town hall in the video seen around the world was a far-left activist in his 40-ies. Morons looting are mostly gen Z, students starting it gen Alpha.
Indian protests, as already noted are concentrated around meme party and is mostly about overwhelming corruption, France protests are French and they did get worse due to idiotic neo-liberal tone deafness of Macron.
Also pretty silly to throw in Albania, those started due to Kushner and Ivanka trying to build a resort on a protected island, Spain's started over housing, specifically an old lady being evicted after a rent hike.
I understand it's easier to just bunch all of these together, but that's not how things work. The Guardian article didn't even try to connect them, its just asking folks from those countries to comment...
What's next, Serbian protests are also Gen Z? Maybe we can throw in the Iranian ones where they got slaughtered, how about No Kings?
The situations in Germany and AFAIK France have nothing to do with Ukraine at all and everything to do with Trump/ MAGA and other retarded US citizens... Trump is our enemy No1

That’s awsome. A senator has already put forward officially the need for a an investigation. Hopefully the blue wave happens and there is one in a few weeks. This kind of blatant siding with the enemy needs to be snuffed out.
For those wondering just how evil the Russian leadership is. This week alone they used cluster munitions in residential areas in Kiev multiple times and released a drone video of a fpp targeting a family dog with pop music playing in the background. It’s truly depraved shit.
Edit: as much as MAGA deserves a lot of shit, in recent PEW survey 50 percent thought Russia was the problem, 44 % not sure and only 6% blame Ukraine and thought Russia was the good guys. Well those numbers are not great it still shows this is Trump (witkof and Kushner included) and musk driven, not them taking the lead from their base. Trump even sucks at populism when it domes to trying to please his daddy Putin.
In some more positive news Russia has suffered new record losses in a day (funny how it always happens around US elections, previous record was in 2024). Supposedly Gerasimov has told Putin that Dobropilia has been captured even though it wasn't and now he's just throwing men at the problem trying to make it a reality (probably saw someone opening the window already).
Also, Dutch intelligence has captured a GRU agent in the UK and coerced him to give them access to a secure server where they had dirt on Kushner. They checked what they had and figured out how to do it themselves so they got access to his iphone. Couldn't access the camera or mic but could get live feed of the screen so they took screenshots of his banking operations and it turns out that he had been made a signatory of an account in the First Abu Dhabi Bank, formally controlled by the Watani Al Emarat charity foundation but used by their intelligence for illegal arms purchases. There were hundreds of millions of dollars being transferred there using Azerbaijani banks, serving as a middle-men for currency conversion to USD, bypassing international transparency standards. Another account, to which around $1B was transferred was created in the Israeli Central Bank, with approval from Bibi. From there the funds were being funneled into yet another account in Cyprus. The money was mostly transferred by the Saudis and Emirates, supposedly for diplomatic reasons but they were actually used to pay various mercs and warlords.
This clearly violates US federal law requiring members of the administration to disclose all foreign accounts and prohibiting them from taking any monetary "rewards" from foreign powers.
I wonder if this will blow up somehow and what else were the Dutch able to find.

You will always be surprised as long as there's some sliver of decency or morality left in you. Normal brain of a person with some semblance of empathy simply can't imagine betraying everything and getting close to some terrible people just to get some more money.
The saddest and unfortunately, at this point, not surprising at all part is that this is not even news.
No consequences for Kushner, his financiers or the person who's bidding he is doing all across the world, due to the slew of other news this doesn't even move the needle.
Similarly, Musk finally admitted that yes, it was him/SpaceX limiting Starlink in Ukraine, allegedly for "breaking TOS" which is ridiculous, but we have bombings, protests, new troop buildup in ME, very important elections all over the place so no one really bats an eye anymore.

The situation in Germany and France do have much impact on the political willingness to fund Ukraine.
Trump has left the game earlier and keeping the bare minimum going. Europe on the other hand doing its best in Europe's term, but simply not good enough to fill the void.
Meanwhile China is funding and arming Russia etc. At some point when China does a proper threat to Europe, they will find out what the term enemy really means.

As far as I know they sell and buy things with both parties and are not especially funding and arming Russia. A classical neutral party in the conflict. Is there some evidence that they are breaking neutrality to heavily fund Russia?
One of my early scenarios for the war was that Russia would lose land/influence in the far east to China as they cannot afford keeping a strong presence there. That seems to be happening more than China supporting Russia in my eyes.
