The context is basically that ww2 hurt the UK, it was stronger before and Hitler wasn’t after them (yet). Tuckers position is that a country should never do anything unless it directly, immediately benefits them. He moves to the Germany thing after the British guy smashes his point that Russia would stop if it wasn’t “attacked” by the west. But given that they didn’t stop after weakness on Crimean and that Russia had the agreement to respect Ukrainian borders, protect them even. This is just a strange failed pivot.
It’s actually strange he released the interview given how hard he loses, but I guess the hate views give him just as much money. This is why I won’t watch his release of it.
Here’s an American non MAGA, but very actual conservative, analysis of it, with lots of actual video.

Define "treatable". Not much was done in this regard because we haven't seen the plague in centuries. It's a bacteria, not a virus so can't have vaccines for it. Masks and stuff are helpful but it's one nasty little bugger. The kind they got in Russia (pneumonic) is that if you take antibiotics within 24h of showing symptoms mortality rate drops down to 17%, untreated it's basically 100% mortality rate - for comparison COVID had 3-5% mortality rate.

I don’t suggest you watch it on Tuckers, because why support that asshole, but there is plenty of people commenting on it where you can watch.
It is utterly insane. Anyone who doesn’t think Tucker is over the top Russian biased is so out of wack, he is barely in touch with reality. Whether he actually thinks that stuff or is just doing it for clicks is not the point. He is actively spreading misinformation. That being said as he argues his position, such that Germany under Hitler had good reason for invading Poland, or that the UK should have not entered into WW2 against Hitler, or the crazy Russian shit. He does get absolutely owned by a person who just knows so much more about current reality and history than him.
It is also pretty wild to watch the major disconnect between actual conservatives and MAGA populist mush brains. It is pretty hard to understand how they are voting for the same people.
Haven't watched it, but those are definitively some positions. What confuses me is why Russians would say that the UK should not have entered WW2 against Hitler.
Wouldn't that pretty surely mean that the Soviet Union would have gotten crushed in the war, and Russia would have had a chance to see all the comforts of Nazi rulership in their own home. I'd assume that Nazi Death camps and secret police would be even worse than Stalins gulags and secret police, but maybe i am mistaken there. Do they think that the Nazis would have liked and not murdered them because they are such good rightwingers? Are they not aware that they were occupying Lebensraum which could go to arian Germans if they just happened to somehow not be there anymore?
Or is that just some shit thrown out to disrupt western media?
WW2 (in Europe) started as the totalitarian states (Germany/Italy/USSR) against the west (Britain, France, Benelux). The problem was that the totalitarian states won so hard that they started to fight amongst themselves.
Britain then allied with the totalitarian state that seemed to be losing to try to defeat the other. With British and ultimately American help the totalitarians were able to resolve which of them ultimately ruled Europe.
Keep in mind that the war started because the totalitarians wanted to rule Eastern Europe and the western states wanted it to be free. And it ended with Eastern Europe annexed and ruled by totalitarians. In Europe the bad guys won WW2, and they won it in 1940. After that it was a question of who would win the totalitarian civil war.

Huh? Of course there are bacterial vaccines too. They're generally harder to create a vaccine against, that's true, but plenty of bacterial disease have vaccines. Tuberculosis, pertussis, cholera, diphtheria and meningococcal are all examples of bacterial diseases that we have vaccines against (some better than others). In fact, there's a yersinia pestis vaccine too, but in most cases the cure is worse than the (risk of the) disease.

Well, plague is seen, it doesn't seem to form epidemics anymore. I though it was propagated by flee carried by rodent, but heard somewhere it was debunked. Also was there some natural selection, people drinking beer had higher survival rate? Vitamin related bias.
So it's kind of hard to think of the plague as something that can't happen, but it is unclear also why it hasn't happened more often either.
Also why do you think you can't have vaccine for bacteria?
Right. But it's still a vaccine against a different type of plague than the one that's been spotted in Russia. It's not like countries have stockpiles of those since it's such a rare sight and pharma typically doesn't invest much in developing stuff that won't be used as soon and as widely as possible.
