Its on the exchange so i asume you can just place an order.
It can bounce obviously but trading so low can only mean that it is going to be delisted. Simply diluting all shares and some sort of nationalization.

Since the next phase of the war would essentially just be slaughtering people, and Europe is already supplying weapons and stuff, I can't help but assume/hope some country(s) will actually fight with Russia. With everything that has happened so far, it feels inconceivable Europe would just watch Ukraine get wiped out.

I dont think it happens. Nuclear weapons are a serious detractor.
I dont think you can blame anyone for being hesitant to have direct confrontation with Russia.

Russian Stock Market to remain closed tomorrow as well.

What doesn't make sense about this is the fact that even if Russia "wins" within the next couple of days, sanctions will only get worse. There is no scenario where Russia takes Ukraine and the sanctions relax. Putin's only choice is between Ukraine and an economy.
What are they holding out for? Or is this really just delaying the inevitable? Very weird situation. The situation is only getting worse and worse for Russia.

Part of the takeaway from what is going on here is that the once untested concept of a "fortress economy" is now being put to the test, and it is failing in spectacular fashion. That said, the extent of that failure remains to be seen.

This is the “can’t be overdrawn if I don’t check my bank account” strategy.

For the super rich fortress strategy works just fine. You aren't American rich but you still have everything you want.
The negotiation would likely be in handing back parts of Ukraine after winning. You get Kiev, we get Swift and similar deals. One involving Putin stepping back from being leader could lead to decent gains.

For the average person on the street, "stock market is closed" is a hell of a lot better than seeing the bank that all your savings are in drop to cents on the dollar.
It's getting worse and worse, but the moment it opens it's going to get so much worse that the benefit of letting everyone adjust their positions must seem negligible in comparison. I imagine even the oligarchs are happy enough to let the fantasy continue for now.
I can't see how it ever reopens, really. As you say, there's nothing to ride out. Victory won't help, only peace and a giant climbdown, and Putin doesn't believe in peace now.

I can't believe people believe Putin's claim of "denazifying" Ukraine while he bombs Holocaust memorials and Jewish archives

While I believe placing sanctions against Russia is a good response by the west, it really just hurts all of Russia (not just the oligarchs). Do we really think this is effective against someone like Putin? He seems all in on Ukraine, and the last thing he wants is for them to turn NATO and have them knocking on their borders.

He's pushing them in that direction and the rest of the bordering nations. This was probably the worst way to go about it. No matter how this turns out, he's going to have NATO closer than he wanted them. Sitting down and talking about this before carpet bombing Kyiv was the most logical route. He's screwed himself with this.

Surprised the Press hasn't got it's hands on the letter tbh. Especially since 3 weeks later the invasion of Ukraine would begin.
Finland is preparing a response to a letter it received from Russia on Tuesday that asked for security guarantees from OSCE countries, Finnish foreign minister Pekka Haavisto said.
Finland shares a long border and a difficult history with Russia but is not a NATO member.
“This exchange is about the (Russian) thought that the West has added its own security at Russia’s expense. Obviously, the West has a completely different view on this,” Haavisto told reporters in Helsinki.
All members of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) have received a letter, Finland’s national broadcaster, YLE, said.
Sweden — which, like Finland is not a NATO member — has also received a letter, Foreign Minister Ann Linde told Swedish radio. So has neighboring Norway, which is a part of the trans-Atlantic alliance, reported The Independent Barents Observer.
Linde declined to comment on what was in the letter.
“The Foreign Ministry gets a lot of letters which we deal with in the same way: we look at what’s in the letter, we analyze and we prepare any possible reply to the letter,” Linde said.
The Foreign Ministry could not immediately comment.
Linde will meet Haavisto in Stockholm on Wednesday, along with the defense ministers of the two countries, to discuss the security situation in Europe.

Well there is another way, but it has to come from inside Russia. If people there decide to overthrow Putin, they can stop this. I dont see how Nato or EU can get involved without escalating into a World war or possibly a nuclear war. This Putin dude is insane, but probably not that insane to bomb his own people.
