I could care less about whatever pride. I definitely hit the nerve. It's blindingly obvious that the brand of academic privileged identity politics is not so popular with the people you've decided you need to woo. You lost these people by replacing traditionally union class conscious with academic identity politics and PC culture (and everything that comes from that elitist mind set). There's a reason the Democrats are now the party of the college educated and 200k+ folks.

Yet quite some have all fallen for it. Perfect demonstration of how the conservative and facist burgoise manages to keep all discussion about identity politics. While enriching themselves by the use of almost free property rights provides to them by the state.

While he's obviously aiming for the 'I did the best I could' defense in working with Trump to keep his name somewhat clean, he doesn't mince words on the other cabinet secretaries being sycophants:
“I guess my top line is, as I look back, I see it ― you know, despite a series of crises and conflicts ― and yes, occasional tension with the White House ― I think we’ve been really successful in transforming the department, implementing my top priority as the NDS, if you will, and then protecting the institution, which is really important to me,” he said. “And then ... fourth, I should say, preserving my integrity in the process.”
Dubbed “Yesper” by his critics, including the president, he takes umbrage with the idea that he has been anyone’s “yes man.”
“My frustration is I sit here and say, ‘Hm, 18 Cabinet members. Who’s pushed back more than anybody?’ Name another Cabinet secretary that’s pushed back,” he said. "Have you seen me on a stage saying, ‘Under the exceptional leadership of blah-blah-blah, we have blah-blah-blah-blah?’ "
Seems the best strategy for national security to deal with Trump's rabid decision-by-tweet tactics was to just not respond and since Trump is no statesman who gets stuff done, his attention faded and so did the issue. If he'd go against the tweet and say 'we won't do this' then Trump would be forced to make it actually happen, so they just did not respond. Final words in the article are 'if I get replaced by a yes man, God help us'. Comforting words :X
Trump also waded into the discussion, tweeting that the U.S. “should” have the rest of its troops home by Christmas.
Esper’s office stayed as far away from the discussion as possible, as it had in countless instances where it appeared that DoD and the White House were not on the same page.
Declining to clarify anything on the record was a purposeful strategy, Esper said.
“Imagine this: ‘Disregard what the president said. This is still the plan,’” Esper suggested. “Now, if I were the president, I’d say, ‘Really? Here you go. Here’s a written piece of paper. You’re coming home by December.’”
Esper’s explanation of his thought process loudly echoed the one laid out by former Homeland Security Department official Miles Taylor in an anonymous 2018 New York Times essay, in which he described members of Trump’s staff removing memos from his desk and otherwise trying to redirect the president’s attention in order to keep him from doing something rash.
“You’ve got to think through steps two, three and four. And often folks don’t do that,” Esper said. “Why get in a mudslinging match when you’re still working for the commander in chief? That doesn’t get you anywhere.”
In the balance, in the case of the Afghanistan withdrawal, are thousands of troops and their families wondering if they are in fact coming home, or if that deployment they’re planning their lives around will still happen.
“It may be a little bit uncertain for some folks, but I know the chain of command completely knows what we’re doing and where we’re going,” Esper said.
Have other defense secretaries had to spend this much time trying to balance the president’s demands with their very real consequences to national security?
“Probably not,” he said. “I don’t know, I’ve only worked for a couple.”
But he has no regrets about how he handled himself.
“At the end of the day, it’s as I said — you’ve got to pick your fights,” he said. “I could have a fight over anything, and I could make it a big fight, and I could live with that — why? Who’s going to come in behind me? It’s going to be a real ‘yes man.’ And then God help us.”

As much as I am loathe to even kind of agree with Wegandi, Democrats 100% have an ivory coast elite image, and its something they really need to work on shedding going forward. Im a little skeptical they will though, given their "we know best" attitude is shown in full effect by the Kasich-Is-The-Future-Progressives-Lost-Us-Races dialogue happening within the DNC atm.

That's funny, because the major reduction of troops overseas were done by Obama. Trump barely reduced troops on foreign soil. He increased the amount of drone strikes. He abandoned allies to be slaughtered.
The only bashing Trump did on Nato, was reiterating something we already had agreed on in 2006 , and were on route to fulfill, while talking about how we hadn't sacrificed enough (while conveniently at one point standing in front of the statue of fallen NATO soldiers in Afghanistan. Most offensive shit I've ever seen as an ally, it seriously pissed me off).

Third person in Trump's campaign has contracted covid. David Bossie, who was in charge of the recount efforts, has had to step down since he can't be at campaign HQ (for obvious reasons).
Per NBC, who cite Bloomberg news.
David Bossie tests positive for the coronavirus, sidelining him from legal push
David Bossie, who was recently tasked to head President Trump's re-election legal challenges, tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, two sources familiar with the matter confirmed to NBC News.
“Because he can’t be at the campaign headquarters and he can’t be in the Oval Office [due to his diagnosis] Dave’s no longer a part of the decision-making process,” one of the sources said.
Bossie, who heads the conservative advocacy group Citizens United, is apparently at home and feeling OK, the source said, noting that it's particularly problematic that Bossie is now “sidelined” from the legal push he was supposed to lead.
Bossie was most recently seen at a Trump campaign press conference in Phoenix, on Thursday.
Bloomberg News first reported that Bossie had contracted the virus.

Uncounted ballots in AK are rising, which is good news for Biden and Democrats :
We have an update from Alaska, which now says there are 157,209 uncounted ballots — up from 134,664 yesterday (the difference is likely explained by the fact that absentee ballots are still trickling in). That makes Biden’s and Gross’s path to winning a little bit easier, though it would still require an impressive comeback. Biden needs to win more than 67 percent of the outstanding ballots, while Gross needs to win more than 68 percent.
AZ has decided that it's next batch of ballots will be released at 9 pm EST again, and will be a small size. https://twitter.com/jeremyduda/status/1325846548496805890?

One thing i have been wondering about is why Trump (at least seemingly) was supported more within black/latin population against Biden 2020 in comparison to Clinton 2016?

Idk if this has been talked about here before, but at least from what i know about Finnish news reporting about what Trump has said (or done), this should not have been the case by any means. Especially with all BLM etc things going on in USA.
