It's very clear that given the chance, Trump would steal elections and destroy democracy. Those four years have been a stress test for the american institutions, and it looks like they held actually quite well. Even a wannabe strongman with one of the two parties completely under his spell can be ousted from office without being able to do much about it. Democracy is really precious. In many, many places, Trump would have been president for life. | ||

If Bernie won the primary, my vote might have gone 3rd party. It would depend greatly on how Bernie reacted to the riots. If he would have called riots "beautiful protests", yes, specifically calling the riots and looting "beautiful protests" as one (now former) IL rep said, then I couldn't vote for him. That one statement likely cost the IL rep her very winnable seat. I cannot support mob justice on either side. Can't vote for Trump and his mob mentality. Can't vote for left wing mobs either. So if Bernie couldn't absolutely reject looting and rioting (while separating and cheering for peaceful protests), then I'd have to go 3rd party. I don't think I'm anywhere near alone. | ||
