You should remove the think from that it would be a great Trump sentence. ![]() Joined TL.net Wednesday, 7th of September 2011 In one way Trump losing is bad. Since he would horribly lose the popular vote it would make for an even more extreme opinion against the current representative republic. Good in most other ways though. Which for somebody not from the US matters more.

He's taken a small lead in Wisconsin and Michigan as the mail-ins and urban votes are counted and Pennsylvania is said to likely swing to Biden once the mail-ins are counted. Arizona is looking tricker though, because a data error incorrectly said 95% of the vote was in when it was actually 86%. Arizona could potentially be weaker for Biden than expected, or even a Trump win if the remainder is overwhelmingly Trump-favoured. Georgia and NC still counting, but the NYT is saying NC is in Trump's court now.

Wisconsin: we will probably get an announcement within a few hours. Biden appears pretty favored from the outstanding votes + his current lead. Georgia: we should also have results soon. The outstanding ballots are largely urban and absentee, where counting had to be delayed because of a water pipe burst, but Trump only needs ~30% of them to keep his lead. I think the NYT needle still favors Biden slightly. Michigan: we may get an announcement later today. Biden also appears favored there based on the outstanding results but I think forecasters are less confident than Wisconsin. Nevada: Very close. May take some time, many votes outstanding. That said, Clark and Washoe should be okay for Biden, and are the main outstanding vote locations by population. Arizona: Solid Biden lead, but has shifted red as votes were counted, and a fair number outstanding. Will take some time. Pennsylvania: We probably won't know until Friday. *That said*, models seem to be optimistic on Biden's closing the gap with absentee vote ballots. The D lead in party registration among early voters was pretty huge-something like 66%-23%-meaning if they attracted pretty much any independents it's really hard for Trump to hold. NC: Probably won't know for a while. Trump only needs 22% of the outstanding vote to keep his lead, though, so it's the closest thing to a lock he has atm.

It has been a really good way to get an overview of the situation to see what people who know what to expect based on the numbers have to say.

If it continues (as predicted), I think that's going to melt what remains of Trump's brain.

It looks good: ARIZONA Electoral votes: 11 Biden leads Trump, 51.0 percent to 47.6 percent, with 86 percent of the estimated vote in. To keep in mind: Counties with critical votes still to be counted include Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix and where Biden is ahead by about six points. Vote-counting is expected to finish today, though it could take longer. Source

Imagine you had 100 random people and you offered them a choice between watching The Fate of the Furious or Love Actually. 50 people picked The Fate of the Furious and, after counting them, it turned out there were 40 men and 10 women in that audience. The Trump campaign essentially projected that the audience to Love Actually would be similarly composed and therefore the likely outcome would be 80 men, 20 women. After all, if we've counted half and the half we've counted showed a 60 point lead for men then surely the other half should go to men. And now we're seeing them essentially go "you expect me to believe that there were 50 men and 50 women in the randomly selected 100 people and that women disproportionately prefer Love Actually over The Fate of the Furious" as if that's a weird thing that beggars belief.

It doesn't help that he can't say we should stop counting votes because if we did that now he would lose WI, MI, NV, AZ, and the white house, regardless of NC/Georgia/PA.
