It seems like even Mohammed Marandi maybe overestimates Graham's humanity. Like he would even care what the oil price was so long as the bombs keep falling.

What is the purpose of the strikes on Iran? Clearly they are not an effective deterrent. Its ground troops for regime change or at least to hold the straight and oil production, or it is to home with the tail between their legs. This isn’t doing shit.

At the moment it's basically some ships not following the IRGC designated route, Iran then fires at them in order to keep their biggest leverage for the negotiations credible and Trump doesn't really have a gear other then "bomb them back".
CENTCOM then provides a list of what intelligence gathered during the ceasefire as the most relevant and juicy targets to make further operations easier, so in this case I think it was drone launch sites, small boats and anti air systems.
They do just enough so the whole ceasefire is not officially pronounced dead on arrival and enough to have the oil markets act as if it might be, so today or tomorrow, just as the markets are about to open Trump and his cronies can make some well placed bets and scratch a few fresh billions for themselves.

In this case I think that them using his death to gin up conspiracies to distract from the real shit they are trying to cover up, or just the general state of things is a blessing.
It's a sexy story, has international espionage (potentially), Russia, Ukraine, guy who was basically hated by all sides because he was flip flopping for 5 years before being completely subsumed by Trump, so why not have Ka$h say they are looking into it just to muddy the waters a bit.

My guess is Patel is just trying to get his name in the news as "doing something" since the past six months have been nothing but headlines about his outrageous corruption.

A funny thought I had, or maybe just funny to me, is that Lindsey graham dying is conspiracy theory in part because of his age. 71 is like a baby for US politicians.

Ironically, if they push a conspiracy theory (or even if it was somehow true) that Iran assassinated Graham, to push the next time they bomb Iran, it would be a fitting way to remember him, it's what he would have wanted.
A thorough warmonger, and a horrible human being.
