Ghislaine maybe, Diddy? heck if you ask Trump about Epstein, a guy he never really knew of course who received handwritten birthday notes Trump totally never wrote about salacious perv shit about young women, you might come to the conclusion that it was all just a big hoax. worthy of a pardon really if you think about it, too bad a good man died in prison for nothing - Democrats & the Clintons at it again!

Combined with ignoring the national debt these are problems that can turn the US from a super power to a regional power in a decade or two. Debt can be dealt with but not in a corrupt society. The poor economic policy is only a short term problem speeding it up. I honestly think the US time as the most powerful country on earth is on a timer. China is doing a lot of things to strengthen them long term while the US are dumping every advantage they have. A poor resolution in Ukraine and regional powers get nukes. One decade of mismanagement later and there won't be money for an up to date overwhelming global military presence. After that American corporations gets shafted abroad because they run their business with the assumption of American hegemony.

If I had been duped by Santos into voting for him based on what he claimed were his achievements, I'd feel like a victim. And as a taxpayer you should feel like a victim for him trying to take your taxes as a salary payment through fraud.

Given current climate in US I will be very surprised if at least some of them wont go into riot mode at the very least. Inclined to get my popcorn ready. He's trying to paint the protests against him as "anti-America" protests, so perhaps he'll try to egg protesters into rioting somehow. Afaik infiltrating protests like that with agent provocateurs is also a common thing autocrats love to do. I just don't think Trump is competent enough to do that and not brag about it in front of cameras immediately, but maybe one of his underlings will get that done.

Pardoning or condemning based on political affiliation, and the absence of habeas corpus in some cases… Moreover, economic destabilization through political control of central banking and tariffs.

The No Kings protest in my town happens every two weeks and I haven’t heard about things turning violent yet. If this one does, it won’t be hard to tell what changed. It makes sense, though, that this administration would consider citizens openly opposing monarchy to be an existential threat.

Putin calls. Trump: Ukraine has to give up all land held by Russia, no tomahawks Hegseth: Wears a russian-flag tie to meet Selenskijy. My consipracy theory: Putin has an aborted Donald-Ivanka fetus on ice in moscow, or something of that magnitude.

There's not an obvious natural maverick right now in NYC politics that could rise up and take the mayorship for Republicans, and otherwise it's just not competitive. It would be a figure like a Giuliani type though who had accomplishments as a prosecutor first. Maybe one is hiding and will come out. And from the top down, the GOP is not going to put a strong candidate in NYC because the money and time is a waste when it's not competitive - and it establishes a losing record for an otherwise good candidate who should be somewhere else. NY State is a different story. The reason is there are a lot more people upstate who do, or can, vote Republican. And they have dissatisfaction from the state needing to bail out the city and the city dominating policy. Zeldin closed the gap in the gubernatorial race a lot in 2022. The right horse in 2026 can make it a 50/50 flip easily.
