You can't call it a tyranny of the majority if it's consensus majority. That just sounds like an oxymoron. Tyranny of the minority (or in this case, extremely ignorant minority) is nation destroying. As we are witnessing. On June 24 2022 23:52 NrG.Bamboo wrote: I get another summer of watching people burn shit down on livestreams? Neat. Quite possibly. This weekend is sure to have some riots and shit go down. But who knows. Inflation might temper some people. But then it could morph with this latest outrage and become something bigger. Up next on whose rights will they take away next: interracial couples, married couples (birth control), and the LGBTQ. Gotta love the court taking AWAY rights from people. Time to stop putting off getting my dual Irish citizenship incase shit goes rogue in the next 5-10 years.

Thomas making his own marriage illegal in the name of the GOP would be hilarious if it wasn't so dystopian and didn't effect millions of others

They'll definitely protect themselves. The amount of stories to come out about some gop politician flying a mistress to an abortion legal state is going to be flooding in. This is so stupid, it almost seems unreal that it is our actual reality. I'm in a blue state so I doubt they'll even listen to this ruling, but fuck it is about to get crowded here with the mass exodus from the republican states.

That the rulings coming from his court are still being taken seriously despite all the dubious legality, morality, and conniving ploys that Republicans have been making specifically to stack the court, is just such an indictment of what this country is to me. If we were going to change something, it would've been done a long time ago. The table is tilted, the game is rigged. And nobody seems to care. Thomas controls the court now. He's got 4 other extremists that'll vote with him and he doesn't need Roberts compromise tell anymore.

It's been 14 years in the making of them slowly stoking the fire and getting shit to a perfect temperature for this to happen. The minority now rules the majority with contempt. This is the plot of a b-movie from some teenager. Fictional levels of evil is being perpetrated and besides going full GH, this shit will fully continue. This is Idiocracy and V for Vendetta all neatly packaged. A self-fulfilling destiny if I've ever seen one and it's pure shit. Better late than never.

Nope this is why everyone was telling you that there was real, dramatic and extraordinarily big differences between Hilary and Trump (Dems/Reps). Pretty creepy that you are trying to do a victory lap. Another thing you got wrong, the "revolution" was not from the left. We also told you that would happen since the crazy right in the US is WAY bigger.

If you can get it started, then I'll join you 100%. Ideas are nice and all, but you need to be the on the front lines taking charge. I've never disagreed that what you advocate is necessary, just your method and lack of visible action.

Or did you just "want to throw a temper tantrum and cry we need a revolution." without doing the work to make one?

The best course of action would have been to take your democracy seriously and vote and encourage others to do so before trump or since. Now that has passed the best bet is to do the same and get congress/senate/president onside. Otherwise like GH said above it is just a meaningless temper tantrum that is not going to bring you closer to any of your goals. Unless of course your goal is to have it all burn, that will happen. You are just not going to be happy with who wins and how its rebuilt!

If the conclusion from this is that you shouldn't vote democrat/in general then I am seriously impressed by the mental gymnastics at work.
