This is the larger problem for Trump. He can't create new funding, so he has to take it from some place. Someplace that was going to use that money for something. And the groups/people that money to fix some problem they were dealing with are are going to be mad. The funniest part about that is that it's the complete opposite of having Mexico pay for it. And dont think for a second that trump supports didnt take trump literally on that point.
Eh. If that was true they'd be angry that he hasn't locked up Hilary yet. Trump's supporters will let him get away with almost anything. And when it goes wrong, blame the Democrats.
I am looking forward to seeing how he shoulder shrugs this one off, just so I can see the new mental lows his supporters are willing to stoop to.

What puzzles me is that it should be obvious that Trump is only concerned about himself and his family, and is not thinking twice about throwing anyone else under the bus if it benefits him, including his base voters.
Many will be happy as long as he appears to fight for things like low taxes, limiting immigration and pissing off liberals, but will that be enough to get him reelected if he gets limited real results as a president? Especially if the Dems can field a male candidate who is undoubtebly a better Christian than Trump.

Well, okay, to be fair Obama is also black and his name "sounds funny".

The McCabe interviews concerning his book and firing are interesting. McCabe details a story where Trump refuted that North Korea had EVER launched a missile because Putin told Trump it was a hoax. Some of the book might be embellishment, like people crying in the hallway of the FBI when Comey was fired. Though Comey was known for going to the mat to protect FBI employs from political pressure, so who knows.
It also provides some insight into the now famous discussion about recording conversations with Trump. From the description of McCabe, it sounds like the discussion happened during the panicked period right after Comey was fired and Rosenstein was surprised to find out his memo was used as the justification. But after things calmed down and they discussed what was happening with other people, nothing came of it.
Of course the talking heads are out in force, but the interviews are interesting on their own.

These are the people who believe in the 'blue collar billionaire' tag. They think Trump is one of them.
I almost wouldn't mind if they rioted when Trump patently doesn't do what they asked for. At least then they'd be holding his feet to the fire. As it is it's like they think they won because he was elected.

In a way they already have. They have normalised the sentiment of white supremacism in political discourse in the USA.

The only significant group of Christian voters that vote as a bloc are Evangelicals, from my understanding. And that group has shown that they will vote to put anyone in power so long as that person fulfills their political aims. They use voting as a means to an end and do not need to see their own belief system mirrored in the person they are voting for. Their votes are based on obtaining an outcome.
To be honest, left leaning voters could use a little more of that.

Trump has spent 171 days as president golfing at trump properties, or roughly 1 out of every 5 days.

I remember when we made fun of Bush for golfing all the time. This was pre-9/11, in the days where the Bush Presidency was sort of taking it in the teeth for being not great on so many things.
Edit: In other news, Amazon is having a smashing 2019 and it couldn't happen to a nicer company. The best part about the Amazon stories is the one about how it might stop growth in Seattle.
https://www.seattletimes.com/business/amazon/amazon-puts-cap-on-growth-in-seattle-canceled-new-york-jobs-will-likely-go-elsewhere/
This come after a fight in June, 2018 about Seattle raising the corporate tax hike to help pay for homeless shelters and affordable housing. Amazon lobbied and threatened to prevent this tax from being put in place. The city council backed down due to pressure from Amazon, including that they might stop growth in Seattle and pick another city. And now, less than a year later news has hit that Amazon might have already decided to stop growth in Seattle.
The lesson, there is no reason to welcome these international tech companies to your city unless you plan on taxing them.

Hey now, he also watched SNL to conclude they were not funny, that comedy is the true collusion and NBC should face retribution. He also watched Rush Limbaugh say that every investigator should be in jail because they work for ' the Obama intelligence agencies' He worked hard.

Praising dictators, believing Putin over your own intelligence agencies, and proposing to casually violate the 1st amendment because "the media" shared a chuckle at your expense is a full day's work. Gotta cap it off by looking absolutely dashing in his golf-wear, showing Tiger how it's done. My god, he's so healthy.

So why isn't the FBI in full blown investigation mode yet, along with a new election? This is highly illegal yet I have a feeling that nothing is going to be done to the tribal style of this country's politics.
Lisa Britt, a worker for political operative McCrae Dowless, said during the North Carolina board of elections hearing Monday that Dowless instructed his employees to fill out illegally collected absentee ballots with votes for the Republican candidates.
The hearing is to investigate alleged election fraud in North Carolina’s 9th district.
Britt said that most of the ballots had the congressional race and sheriff’s race filled out, as those were the major elections that topped the ballots. She said that Dowless’ cohort would fill in the empty votes for more minor, down-ballot races.
“Basically what we would do — what I would do — is to submit the vote for whoever was the Republican,” Britt testified.
Britt said that they would tamper with the ballots at Dowless’ home or office.
Earlier in her testimony, she said that Dowless had told her to plead the 5th Amendment since “they have nothing on us.”

I mean, they could be investigating, but not doing it publicly. It isn't like they announce every investigation.
