LeFigaro does not seem to wait this much for official confirmations but they gave no false information so far even if there were confused or uncomplete one. LePoint had some very early news sometimes but also some false informations, same for Leparisien. BFMTV sometimes gave rumors but they say it when it is unconfirmed informations. For most informations however they await authorization to give them. It depends whether they're critical or not.

Quick recap of the event : - don't know how much hostages, but it seems at least one - the two suspects have been confirmed to be the two brothers from the Charlie Hebdo massacre - no assault given atm - no press point until operation is over, so that no one can use information of the police/GIGN/RAID... - Montrouge killing is not DIRECTLY related, but the two brothers and the killer from Montrouge know each others, probably from a djhiadist cell known as "the sector of the Butte Chaumont" (name of a Paris' district) That's what we know for sure atm. No more news until the end of the hostage keeping.

They will take the time they need to starve them or make them sleepy. Special forces aren't rushing stuff in France. Remember the airport affair where the gendarmerie (i think) took an assaut on a plane and there was casualties. I don't think no special force want to do that kind of assault again. It's just IMO.

I've allways thought that you should keep posting these pictures, freedom of speech is very important (which was handled excellently by our Prime Minister back in the day) and drawings that are satirical should be seen as such. However a friend of mine posted on facebook that this harsh stand for our right to publicly "shame" (as some people interpret it to my understanding) their religion, with these drawings. He illustrated it with a rather overexagerated example "let's draw all the politician's children in situations where they are tortured or raped and then call it "the politicians freedom of speech in action" as a satirical drawing". The analogy is poorly made, however the point stands to me: If people are heavily offended by something that you mean no harm with, why in the world would you keep doing that something? To defend our right of free speech? Well maybe, but again this isn't really about us, we're not the ones who're being offended Because we shouldn't give in to terrorism like this in France (or when everyone went batshit crazy during the Muhammed drawing thing)? I like this arguement better, however I'm not sure it's backing down from terrorism as much as it is respecting other peoples religion. Note, I do in no way at all support or defend the shootings, I just saw people in the danish media who wanted to print out the muhammed drawings again to make some kind of a point, I'm honestly not sure which one...
