I'm sorry but it is religion. Sure... not all religious people are following as bad stupid and horrible ideas as these terrorists, but they're all false and for the same reason (lack of evidence).
I dont really want to offend anyone... but the point is if you really believe what ISIS etc believe, then these artists deserved to die. So the only way to argue logically against these actions is to argue with their assumptions (the doctrine itself). Then the same arguments apply to all religions.
Ok you can argue theologically about interpretations and whatnot (thou shalt not kill) but its totally fucking arbitrary and open to interpretation. If you want to go down that route its literally your word against theirs.
Most of the recent attacks (in Canada, Australia) could feasibly have been political or just crazy people (not my opinion but its feasible). But are you seriously trying to deny that this one is religiously motivated?

I don't think anyone here is implying all Religion always promotes violence, but you cannot deny that there are people using Religion as a tool to make people do that. In the same way other people use money and other things.
