I'm reading a saga which they're going to make into a series on HBO, I think. A Song of Ice and Fire. It's a series of books and I'm on the third one. haha, what the hell?? i'm not sure if this is interesting enough to bump this thread, but it was the last answer i was expecting while reading an interview of a world class spanish footballer. Are you kidding me lol, that's brilliant. xD I always liked the guy while he was in Liverpool too.

DAMN now I have more questions but cannot ask them as I want to read it ... But the heads are supposed to be spiked up on winterfell AND Jon dreamt that there was darkness and death of some kind when he got the first "spiritual" bond with ghost... now I have to read all night untill I know it. Shouldnt have asked :D BTW those were not questions now, so dont tell me. But thanks for the answer anyway :D

This has become like Harry Potter for me. I was so relieved when Harry Potter 7 came out, because I could stop worrying about J.K Rowling suddenly dying, leaving her work unfinished. George is the new Joanne. He is not allowed to die before he finishes this story.

Could have just read on. + Show Spoiler + Theon gazed at them silently while the wind tugged on his cloak with small ghostly hands. The miller’s boys had been of an age with Bran and Rickon, alike in size and coloring, and once Reek had flayed the skin from their faces and dipped their heads in tar, it was easy to see familiar features in those misshapen lumps of rotting flesh. People were such fools. If we’d said they were rams’ heads, they would have seen horns.

Re-reading it right now. so very excited about dance with dragons. The writing style of being willnig to kill off main characters has you on the edge of your seat the entire time. In other books when they try to cliffhanger the main character dying it falls short, because you know the author doesn't have the guts to actually kill off their prized character. With george rr martin, every time there's a fight, you fear for the characters lives, it is masterfully done.

If they stroll into this thread then that's their fault imo Uh I'd say it is necessary when discussing significant plot developments. Is this thread 10 years old? Why even have a thread for 10 year old books? I just got books 1-3 in the mail yesterday and I thought the OP was asking for opinions on the series not plot discussion...

And Gregor is somehow kept alive by magic or whatever. Too bad Red Viper does not survive somehow as well :D Actually... + Show Spoiler + one of the best parts about this series is that "hinting at dying" can actually mean they are dead. You seriously never know. Of course I'll be shocked if Jon, Arya, or Daenerys are ever killed off, but anyone else is fair game.

Bran might, but something tells me if he does it would be in the very last book. So many events north of the wall will require his presence out there. Tyrion will also never die, dwarf is just too good at surviving.

I'm just going to add some spoilers here even though they're not big, just in case (all early book 3 and previous) I think I'm starting to enjoy all the characters chapters except maybe Daenerys + Show Spoiler + who is mostly just moping around cities at the moment. Considering how good her story was in Game of Thrones, it's kinda dull in comparison. I really like the new supporting chracters they add in book 3, especially in Jon's and Arya's stories. Also, some of the backstories are pretty cool, especially with the + Show Spoiler + Unsullied Men being so crazy. The story of them showing up late to a battle and fighting anyway was pretty epic and cool story behind having hair on their spears.
