On the player's wikipedia pages there are results against other grandmasters. For example Player A vs Bobby Fischer: +3 −4 =3 How should I read that?

Polgar also tweeted that she thinks Kasparov's appearance would affect Magnus which is an interesting consideration. For those who don't know Kasparov used to mentor Carlsen before Carlsen decided to end the partnership.

Carlsen is handling the pressure well, it's a huge amount of pressure to deal with while trying to play great chess.

I wouldn't imagine it is the most unbiased bit of commentary, there is a bit of a rivalry there isn't there?

I don't think there is such a relation that having queens means necessarily more variations. I'm speculating, but to me it seems that with queens on the boards, there are more lines, of course, but there are less plausible variations, due to the high hostility provided by having both queens on the board. What I mean is, moving my knight with an enemy queen on the board is tougher than if she wasn't there.

I suspect the time and pressure took a big toll on Anand today, and he's going to get worn down eventually. Carlson "throwing away an advantage" is kinda harsh

Anyway, that stuff with 18...Bxa2 simply blows my mind. If this was a part of Anand's home preparation, he did tremendous job at figuring out the positional benefits he can get from that and ways to actually maintain his pressure without letting Black pieces out and use their extra material. Magnus reacted as many would react: if the pawn ain't poisoned, why not just take it? However, snatching it was by no means forced and it really shows how much suffering the Norwegian is willing to go through to get the slightest of long-term advantages. I guess this trend will continue, since Carlsen so far managed to avoid blunders everytime he was forced into prolonged defense. The question is whether Vishy can finally translate the activity into a win?

Carlsen still won the tournament though. Sure, but he suffered quite a bit in the games against Hikaru. To say that he's jealous of Carlsen is quite the exaggeration when it comes to comparing their playing strength.
