The fact that there's so many negative reactions demonstrate why pride is important. Massive respect to the TL staff really. Who would've thought a rainbow could upset people so much, what are you so insecure about?
to the idiots spouting 'check yo privilege', thanks for nothing. Because nothing makes people more likely to warm up to you by being an obnoxious twat.

Most of the community is in favor of it (sadly not everyone).
And I'm pretty sure it wasn't a decision by one admin alone.

Because people actually do care about what happens to their favourite players outside of starcraft? Mr Geoff Robinson and Anna Prosser's wedding certainly got lots of attention. Hell, mine got some too. When players are interviewed, they're frequently asked questions akin to "favourite food" "favourite non-sc2 hobby" or stuff like that. I'm not proposing that "what's your sexual orientation" becomes a staple question here, but I don't understand why it's something that needs to be shunned. Why should publicly expressing your love be an exclusively straight activity?

I think you're wrong on that point.
For example, a lot of people who suffer or have suffered from depression sees Nony as a good example/model, etc.
Same thing with Scarlett with trans people. It's just really cool to see someone like you being really good at the game.
Or even an easier example, when a player of a nationality is doing great people from that country are proud of him/her.

BUT I don´t accept gays. It´s so simple. I asked before, but you mustve missed the post. Care to explain WHY you dont accept gays? (and that youre not suppose to have anal sex cant be the only reason) Why can´t it be only reason??? Because its ridiculously moronic? Ah.... no? It´s disgusting (but that´s subjective) Why do you even care how other people live there sexlife. It's absolutely none of your bussiness. I sure hope you are some kind of troll honestly. Thank you bringing this up, I simply don´t want walking for instant along the street and suddenly some gays are kissing next to me. WTF! So? I dont want to see idiots holding signs with "god hates fags", still i have to endure such stupidity. No you don´t have to, go to them and talk to them... It becomes problematic when TV shows such things... So if you see a gay couple kissing you would really go to them and ask them to stop it? (Assuming you would do that in a ... positive and ... friendly? manner)
If I see a couple(gay or not) kissing I find it to be annoying, depending on the level of the kiss. A little smoochie? no problem. Trying to eat each other out? That's a problem. Regardless of who it is.

Insulting people for their intolerance of gays won't change their opinions, so just ignore them and move on. People can believe whatever stupid things they want to, issues arise when they act on those opinions, like teaching creationism is schools.
If you really care about the issue put forward to people a sound argument, backed by evidence, that may change peoples minds and change the outcome of votes.

And like I already said, it's not that the people disagreeing with this hate gays, they might think that gays are disgusting, like I do. But it has noting to do with not wanting gays to have the same right etc. It's just that this is the wrong place for it, why should a site that was built by its community, be abused by some admin only to push his political agenda?
This is not political agenda , these are basic human rights that are being denied because of sexual orientation and I for one support TL to be backing the process of giving them back.
I mean you can ignore the gay rights altogether and be hateful against homosexual people (I dont know what the hell have they done to you simply by existing...) but that doesnt mean homosexuals will vanish from america because of it.
