I gotta say that whole Rodman in North Korea adventure is in the among the most entertaining news stories of recent years for me. It's so bizarre but also humanizing in a way.
supposedly, a north korean news anchor said on television that north korea has landed a man on the sun...and that upon his return, he should be praised as a hero. If this is real it is completely absurd...
I know it's north korea and they have a tendency to make some stupid claims here and there, especially about their strength and military prowess, but this looks like a hoax. I mean: "Hung traveled in the cover of darkness, as it would protect him from the harsh, and extreme temperatures of the Sun".

Would take about 8 minutes to reach the sun if they were going at lightspeed. Otherwise it'd take about ~220 days to reach the sun by normal spaceship means. You'd have to abuse sling shotting around gravitational pulls to even get there since a craft couldn't carry enough fuel to get there normally.
I don't know how they thought 4 hours was a good amount of time to base this hilarious fail of a hoax on.

You don't need more fuel to travel to the sun than to the moon, it just takes longer. Once you've accelerated you'll keep your speed. We have (a) small craft(s) on the edge, leaving our solar system.

All other problems aside, assuming you manage to crash land onto the sun and survive, you have a massive gravitational well to fight when you want to go back. Escaping the gravity of the sun is quite a bit harder than escaping the gravity of the moon in the moon landing. For reference: http://xkcd.com/681_large/
But yes, at first glance, I really hope it is a hoax.
i want it to be true just to shock every humans in the world and suddenly NK becomes the top dog in Space technology and laugh at every other country. Also I hope a requirement is to have NK propaganda materials in order for the rocket to fly so that whenever a country is exploring the Sun, they have to worship a Kim Jong Un shrine to power it.

Yeah, no. I've read North Korean state news articles translated to English by professionals. They make the Inquirer and Weekly World News look like respectable and informed publishers.
Also, I don't think Kim Jong Un is a god yet. Maybe Kim Jong Il.

That is not true at all.
You need enough fuel. You are correct that when you accelerate to a certain velocity, you will keep that velocity. However, the problem is to get to that velocity to reach the sun. In space travel, we use the term "delta-V" to describe energy required to change the velocity to get to other point. To get to the sun low orbit, you will need around 208,690 m/s change in velocity from launch to circling around the sun without using gravity assist from other bodies. That is enormous amount of energy and the amount of fuel requires to travel to the moon will looks minuscule (which only requires 13,340 m/s change of velocity).
So yeah you need both fuel and time to get there. You just don't constantly burn your fuel to get there (as you burn at specific point in your orbit. The amount of fuel required can be lessened by the gravity assist (aka. sling shot around other planet to change your velocity) but that would require a good timing and still need a lot of fuel to do so.
PS. Playing Kerbal Space Program really makes me a space nerd
it's unreal how delusional or conceited rodman is. his good ol buddy fed his own uncle to the dogs and he thinks it's a bright idea to bring his friends over to sing happy birthday to the dictator of the most brutal and inhumane regime on earth?
While this is most likely just a hoax, the North Korean media has a pretty hilarious record when it comes to their space and rocket program.
Like when they launched a "satellite", basically a rocket that everyone reported exploded mid air. Yet the North Korean TV decided it was a success and insisted the satellite is in orbit and operational.
Really sucked for them when they broadcasted their last launch last year live and it crashed. But then again they probably blamed it on evil American death rays.
