Wrong, the source was the NYC Police Comissioner, and has been refuted by the Aurora Police Chief. So unless the Colorado police have worse info than the guy in NYC, he didn't. This guy was definately a upper tier organized criminal who would have had a gun anyway even if America had strong gun control right? oh, wait, no, he was just a maniac and 20 people woulda been alive today if America had Europe's gun laws. User was temp banned for this post. | ||

They said there was "no basis to the that statement". So I guess its not 100% that the rumor is false, but pretty close. Could be they just wanted to stop all the speculation that would happen if that were the case, but more likely is that the NYC guy heard a sensationalist rumor and spread it since he is known to do that for attention. | ||
