Multi-cores isn't really needed if you have a well-optimized OS, like Windows Phone. With the exception of perhaps "high-end" mobile gaming. The N9 was a damn fine phone though.

Just from your own book of facts? The screen is bigger yes, but the actual phone itself isn't that much larger. The bezzle has been reduced on the top and bottom.

I got my galaxys2 a few months ago and coming from a blackberry it feels gigantic just to have in my pocket. Having high end specs are great but I feel like android vendors are neglecting the simple things like the size of the phone and battery life. Not all phones are doing this. The superphones are, but it's the nature of a superphone to be big on everything possible. There are many androids that have smaller screens, and they continue to come out.

Specs are nice but who cares, every half decent phone is pretty fast these days unless Android still needs spec brute forcing to run smoothly (doubt it, HTC One X is pretty smooth). Does it really matter what score in get in X, Y, and Z benchmark if it can do X, Y, and Z quickly and smoothly? I'm kind of glad we've beaten the spec wanking out of most of the PC enthusiast market and I hope the same happens here.

Though as I predicted, there's no way the phone is going to be bezel-less, it'd be close to impossible to use. Excuse me? How is having a hardware button a shift backwards? If you mean you prefer to have a bunch of soft capacity keys, then no thanks. I really like having one physical button that I always know is there.

There's nothing wrong with having a physical home button but the problem with the S3 button is that it's so small it doesn't make sense.

Edit: I'm still rather confused over the OLED choice besides the fact Samsung needs people to test it out before it ends up in larger displays...it offers literally nothing besides really nice blacks, which is not too useful in a mobile phone to be honest. I actually think the smartest thing HTC has done is not jump on the OLED hype/spec train and kept with a really damned good LCD panel.

Just look at the pictures where the hand is, or even compare it to the S2 beside it. There are also a lot of hands-on videos on theverge.com and engadget.com. The button is certainly big enough for me, and I actually prefer it this way. It all boils down to personal preference. After going from the iPhone 3GS to a Galaxy Note, the 3GS just feels like a cheap toy to me. I'd personally say anything larger than the Note would be too big, but anything under 4" is just too small for my taste. I will be picking up either the S3 or the iPhone 5. Let's see what Apple has to offer.
