Want equality, vote Romney Want more sexism and social injustice, vote Obama This post was "almost funny" until I realized you weren't joking. Though I urge you send a letter to the Romney Campaign suggesting they adopt the slogan, "Vote Romney, after all which party freed the slaves." Is he really serious? I thought SayGen was a lefty, and the post is very over the top... I've seen worse. Some people live in their own lala-land. Would love him to provide proof on his claims about pro-women republicans though. Binder full of women, watch the debate and the facts before and after the comment. There is your proof, next? but dont watch the 'facts' during the comment, but then you would notice its a lie. he never asked for more women? i agree that this whole binders thing is just a news storm in a tea cup, its very doubtful anyone will change their mind either way based on a stupid turn of phrase. but you are trying to argue that someohw mitts love of binders will entice the female vote. which seems crazy. Crazy, poll numbers for women are shifting to Romney... but I'm sure you neglect all polls or other signs to anything that may be contraire to ur view point.
only something like 5-6% of US population are independent voters. the polls show swings of 5% purely on single days events. polls meet grain of salt.
the idea that the comment "binders full of women" turned literally millions of women to mitt is ridiculous

But states like TX and CA should be the deciders in the president cause that is where a huge majority of the population is. The electoral college doesn't favor small states. No one gives a shit about the Dakotas or Vermont. The electoral college favors the largest of the states that have the potential of going either way. Being an Ohioan, when it comes to the presidential election, my vote matters a hell of a lot more than that of anyone from Montana. just because ohio is 'the' state that decides the election does not mean the EC doesnt favor small states. it gives small state voters more power per person than large state voters.
Population per electoral vote is a completely meaningless statistic when it doesn't get you any additional attention or policy considerations from the candidates.
the only reason ohio is so important is because its the largest of the swing states, thats not actually anything to do with the problems with EC.
what? This situation is a direct result of the Electoral College system.

These posts were literally 3 minutes apart dude. EDIT: Sorry, 35 minutes. Of course, this is from the guy who not too long ago was raging for pages and pages about Obama care costing him $700/month, not realizing he had misread 'year' as 'month'.... No I said it was a typo- go back and reread before posting that libel. I am highly upset about Obamacare. It's anti American to be taxed on the condition of breathing. Never ever ever done before in American history, truly it can now be said that there are 2 inevitable things in life- death and taxes I dislike Obamacare for other reasons, but I cannot stand people who put ideology above reality. Food for thought: even Switzerland have a public healthcare system. IIRC they had heavy debates and a close vote, but years later, nobody would want to go back to the old days. Even the country that inspired the Founding Fathers and continue to be referred to in every gun control debate can recognize that healthcare is better handled by the government. The individual mandate is NOT universal health care. Drives me nuts when people even compare the two. In Switzerland, you don't have a fine imposed on you simply by virtue of existing, the universal health care is paid for on taxes of activity or ownership, and taxation should only be imposed for activity or ownership. Obamacare forces a tax on everyone with absolutely no criteria.

It's kind of sad hat people will put ideology before the basic advancement of civilization. Obamacare is pathetic compared to truly nationalized systems like the ones seen in basically every single developed country besides our own, but at least it's a step forward.

The significant lead that Obama had is narrowing somewhat, the women's vote isn't favoring Romney. Not only that, if you want to talk about polls, how about the vast majority of swing state polls all showing Obama in the lead (again) after being tied right after the first debate? Convenient to ignore those, huh?

Offering free/affordable healthcare to every citizen of your country is advancing civilization. I don't know what to say to you if you can't understand this. As to the point that "everyone else is doing it", that's just a strawman; the point is that numerous other countries are doing it, and not only is it affordable, but the quality of healthcare in these countries is better.

At what cost- at the cost of higher taxes thus less economic freedom, for each indivisual. how about you pay for your own HC cost via an insurance system if you so choose. Oh wait that's what we used to have, and ya i'm pretty healthy- cna't even remember the last time I got sick. My last injury was self inflicted (broken arm). But to follow SayGen's trainwreck of thought that Lincoln's Republican party is the Republican party of today is equally ridiculous.
You can thank Lincoln and LBJ for the radical polarization of the two parties that has dropped social liberty squarely on the Democratic party.

Best part is, Liberals act like they are the defenders of minorities when facts are Republicans are the ones who have done the most good in our country--after all which party freed the slaves.
Want equality, vote Romney Want more sexism and social injustice, vote Obama Um. I just wanted to respond to this. By the modern definition of such, Democrats and Republicans of the time of the civil war. Also, Lincoln was a Whig. Lincoln was not a Whig. But to follow SayGen's trainwreck of thought that Lincoln's Republican party is the Republican party of today is equally ridiculous. You can thank Lincoln and LBJ for the radical polarization of the two parties that has dropped social liberty squarely on the Democratic party.
and yet, Mitt Romney has done more to advance woman advancement in society than his liberal competetor Obama? Why is this? Perhaps it is cause your wrong, but that's just a guess.

Might want to go to an African American studies class.
Never ever ever done before in American history, truly it can now be said that there are 2 inevitable things in life- death and taxes It's kind of sad hat people will put ideology before the basic advancement of civilization. Obamacare is pathetic compared to truly nationalized systems like the ones seen in basically every single developed country besides our own, but at least it's a step forward. There are a lot of valid arguments in favor of socialized health care. Saying "everyone else is doing it" is not one of them. Nor is simply calling it "the basic advancement of civilization." Offering free/affordable healthcare to every citizen of your country is advancing civilization. It has healed excelently, to the point I couldn't even tell which arm I broke mere months after it happened. Adding to my tax burden lessens my chances of moving up. More money I have, the more I can invest into my future- whehter it be education, health, finance, etc. Telling me how to budget is beyond inexcuseable. I bet that $300 you saved every month for years and then spent on your broken arm didn't help you move on up.
Spent with money left over, that is currently gaining intrest while supporting the American economy. (that money set aside in CDs/LowRisk mutal fund is a loan to a fellow American). win-win.
Anything else you got?
