5% of the vote for a party gets them public funding and a chance at the debates. But you probably already know that because you clearly know everything such as "obama lies and romney doesn't". It's a sad state of affairs when entire states have the same thought process as you do. Voting not on facts but what the tv tells you. It's so sad it's funny.

Sorry, I have that condition where my left leg is shorter than my right - forcing me to lean left. It's a terrible pre-existing condition, and I am finally glad to be able to get insurance for it.

As usual and with all the non-voters: If all these people, that are not voting would vote for a 3rd party ... they would win!!! just get your ass from the couch ... yeah, that might be tricky...
But it can have influence! just a few days ago I read an article about Eugene Debs. really interesting. Yeah, in his "best" of his five (!) tries to get president he got 3% (while he was in prison!), so not a real contender, but he moved many people!

You wanna talk about believing what's on TV? How about you stop being so blind and look at how much Liberal news stations won't report ANYTHING that can hurt Obama.
By the way, the recovery effort for Hurricane Sandy going good? Are you insane? Turn on the TV. There are people dying every day. I don't care what Obama wants you to believe, people have been interviewed and are DYING. They are eating out of the trash because of how poorly run this recovery effort is. And now there's a winter storm coming, and more will die. Don't talk about a good recovery effort, that's a downright lie.

Unfortunately, GJ getting 5% of the vote would mean the Perrys/Bachmanns/Palins of the world will be able to leverage Romney as being "not conservative enough" while running against actual good candidates like Jeb Bush and Chris Christie.

Defacer, I don't think he reads your posts as to why there was no talk of the Benghazi thing.
You might wanna use bold and italics.

Again, I don't care what Liberal media says about Benghazi. People died and Obama should have helped. That's what it comes down to. And a President should never lie to the American people. I don't give a crap how bad it'll make him look if he tells the truth.

"The founder of the movement was Joseph Smith, Jr., who was raised in the Burned-over district of Upstate New York. He claimed that, in response to prayer, he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ, as well as angels and other visions. This eventually led him to a restoration of Christian doctrine that, he said, was lost after the early Christian apostles were killed. In addition, several early leaders made marked doctrinal and leadership contributions to the movement, including Oliver Cowdery, Sidney Rigdon, and Brigham Young. Modern-day revelation from God continues to be a principal belief of the Mormon faith."
"The people of western New York, like the rest of the United States at the time, were also influenced by folk religion. The fathers of both Joseph Smith, Jr. and Oliver Cowdery were reported to have used divining rods, though not by those within the LDS church. Joseph Smith reportedly used seer stones, which he used after his First Vision of Jesus Christ. People of the time used such rods and stones in various ways, including to locate underground water, to find lost items, to locate buried treasure or mineral mines, as part of religious or magic rituals, or to communicate with spirits or angels. Until about the 1830s, the use of such divining media, even as a profession, was thought by many, though not all, as "honorable and profitable employment". (Palmyra Herald, July 24, 1822)"
That's all I'll say on the subject. If you know that, and you are still mormon..... you're as kooky as Romney. And to be fair, Islam is just as bad in my eyes. But, I'm not going to have a theological debate in the election thread. All I'm doing here is justifying "kooky" and "cult".

What part of "telling people about Benghazi jeopardizes the remaining CIA missions and operatives in the area" do you not understand.
"People died"
Well shit dude - you want more to die? Fantastic!

Sure - Staten Island is pretty terrible. Long Island is hit and miss. NJ is mostly ok, just lacking power. Connecticut.. is ok. South of the tristate region is relatively ok.
Have you SEEN New Orleans? A year after? A whole, 365 days, after?

I'm not terribly informed on the matter but it sounds like it could have resulted in more people dying had he come out with the "truth" as soon as he was aware. Situation gets a little less black and white, no?

Wrong; Romney did not push Obama on Libya because that was his strategy - he did not push him on anything. He already proved that he can "take" him in the first debate, the "friendly" approach for the second and third debate was a calculated gamble to close the gender gap. Guess what, it worked!

Because:
A) There are other measures on the ballot besides the presidential election. If you stay home, you don't vote for the presidential election and you also don't vote in any of your local elections or ballot referendums that may impact your daily life quite severely. You could leave the presidential election part blank, or you could vote for the candidate you think would do the best job, whether or not he has a chance of getting elected or not, which brings me to my next point;
B) If neither candidate has your support, you should vocalize that by not voting for either of them. Our political system may be corrupt and ineffective, but you're not helping anything by keeping your vote to yourself. By voting for a 3rd party candidate, you are announcing to our two-party system that neither one of them is covering the things you care about. They may not care about you individually, but they certainly care about your vote, and if their campaign gurus let them know there is a growing population of people who care about X that haven't been swayed to the other side, they'll act on it ASAP to try to snap you up.
