Oh god bugs, errors in coding, etc... Not that the Judge would know what any of that meant... I hope I'm not so oblivious when I am their age....

State: Video of an experiment on theory of a case not usable.
Except it's not an experiment, it's a simulation based on evidence.

I gotta say, I would be unsure too, as a judge, if I would allow it...
but I might allow it only based on the prosecutor being a wiener-face >.<

It's not valid cause of the lighting.

As an aside, where is BDLR?

Acronym of the bald prosecutor's name - Bernie de la Rionda

What's wrong with being able to play it over and over? Do the jurors have the memory of a goldfish or something?

Okay so the judge is saying that the video would give too much weight to the jury's decision because they could play it over and over and over again.

If this video evidence is disallowed at trial but allowed in O'Mara's closing arguments, will the jury have access to it during their deliberations?

It would probably be treated like testimony in that they can take notes on it but they can't bring it with them.
EDIT: An courtroom gets trolled by its own lighting system.

NASL sound guy strikes again? In a conspiracy with the the light guy....

I'm not sure the video is worth the effort. So many of the witnesses (prosecution and defense both) have been pretty solid for the defense. The introduction of this animation would get slaughtered under cross-examination and it doesn't seem to offer much to enhance the defense. It would, imo, be the defense ending their case with shit, just like prosecution ended theirs with that terrible medical examiner.

It seems there was some significance in how Trayvon had stuff hidden on his phone ? Is that why the "how it was recovered" needs to be proffered ?
