I ended up getting a nice blue Perry Ellis half(quarter?)-zip knit sweater for $30, originally $70 so I'm pretty happy :p

I like that combo as well. Ended up going with the gold case / black face combo as part of the kickstarter project where i got it for $129. Should be out by the end of Jan.

Are wolverine 1k or Allen Edmonds boots good for walking in wintry stuff? Any other recommendations for practical but nice looking winter boots? Has anyone tried Oak Street bootmaker trench boots? I'm hesitant to buy boots online not only because of fit but because of how they might look, but they definitely look nice on their website. Can I put half soles on myself or would I have to go to a shoe store? Thanks

pointy toe boots look odd @_@. too formal for the workwear style of most boots. unless its a chelsea i suppose.

ive seen 1ks do ok but regardless of the boot you get, in the snow you'll either have to waterproof/snowseal (partially for the wetness, partially bc they salt roads and salt on leather is blah). and in a blizzard id rather have duck boots than anything else.

dunno about 1/2 soles but any type of resoling will usually have to be at a shoe repair store (what are these called again..cobblers?)

Ive heard good things about OSB and 1k. dunno about allen edmonds boots

check for return policies online. alternatively, check stockists around you to fit it before buying. i really dislike buying stuff online if its expensive unless i've fit it before :[. glhf

for the red pants wear stuff that'll help tone it down. that red is really bright and it'll draw a lot of attention. you wanna balance that out (either via complimentary colors, or darker neutrals to offset. )

also i caved and kopped RRL denim :[. guess i wont be getting CPs till the spring (not that ill get much of a chance to wear them in the winter). On the plus side i wont hunt PJB/momos anymore and i've "saved" myself like $60-80.

Looking for a decent (but cheap) suit-- yeah, I know those are hard to find. 21 years old, looking for internships and need something navy blue/ grey that I can wear to interviews and other business things. I know there's a couple good websites out there with offerings, anyone help out and shoot a link my way?

Also need a suggestion for a flexible moderately-dressy pair of shoes-- I need more stuff that could be construed as "business casual". I'm thinking a nice dark suede-type pair that pair with khakis.
