We are extremely close to shutting down this thread for the same reasons the PUA thread was shut down. While some of the time this thread contains actual discussion with people asking help and people giving nice advice, it often gets derailed by rubbish that should not be here. The moderation team will be trying to steer this thread in a different direction from now on.
Posts of the following nature are banned:
1) ANYTHING regarding PUA. If your post contains the words 'alpha' or 'beta' or anything of that sort please don't hit post.
2) Stupid brags. You can tell us about your nice success stories with someone, but posts such as 'lol 50 Tinder matches' are a no-no.
3) Any misogynistic bullshit, including discussion about rape culture.
4) One night stands and random sex. These are basically brags that invariably devolve into gender role discussions and misogynistic comments.

I disagree with this. I'm your age, and I have to say that my girl isn't disposable, I don't even know what I would do without her, she has been by my side for pretty much a year now and I can't imagine life without her. Relationships are amazing, when you find someone who makes them amazing  .
I hope you'll be alright when everything goes downhill... Don't tie yourself up too much, it'll become a larger shock when things go wrong. Pessimistic yes, but you'll be thankful when you fall off of a bench instead of a building.

I have been in steady relationships for the last five plus years. From high school I dated a girl for 2 years and some change, dated another for six months while I studied abroad in China, and a few brief things before I met current GF of 2 years. Reasonably certain I am incapable of the proverbial, "hit it and quit it," method. That being said my track record for fidelity isn't precisely sterling.

I know how you all feel for I myself had some dates which went totally arkward and two relationships which ended miserably and left me in total shatters and tears. After the last big dissapointment (the love of my life left me because she started studying in another town) I started smoking again and spend all my money I got from my sparetime job for drinking.
But I realised that that is not the way to go and tried something else.

I've had a decent amount of girls in my life, but I never manage to hang on to any of them (except for two which were terrible relationships that only lasted a few months). It baffles me how some people manage to just kinda always be in a relationship.. Ah well good for them I suppose.

Been going out with this chick for a few months now... but she's from Europe and moved back due to school. We both agree we love each other, and I plan on visiting her in 4 months, but long distance relationships are weird... physical aspect of a relationship is so important, and I don't have much experiences with long distance relationships..

Well, i was a virgin till i was 23 i think. Had a lot of girl-frinds, but never a girlfriend. But someday it just made click. Got my ass out of my apartment, startet sport, startet going out (not even clubs or such, just out of the house is enough ). Thats all. No magic formular, No Pick-Up Training. im 27 now and have a very good love life.
So dont give up with 17 or so.
Do things you like. And do stuff were it is posibble to meet girls. Everything else usually works out. Even if it takes years :D

The "worst case" guy I've seen personally who finally got laid for the first time was 32 and weighed around 300 pounds. It's up to you if you want to work on how you interact with and around women or not.
Social skills are just that, learnable skills like any other.

I was like this too pretty much, until I got out of high school. I was always a loner, few friends, never went out etc, and it didn't help that our house was like a 30 minute drive from the city. I finally got my driver's license the summer I got out of high school, and my parents bought me a car so I started going out and socializing a lot more; was basically never home except to sleep. I met a really awesome girl that summer and we've been going strong for over a year now.

Judging by what he said... I don't think he expects any girl, not even a fat and ugly one. He has low self esteem and no self confidence clearly, that's why he is a virgin. I highly doubt he is a virgin because he's trying to find a 'gorgeous hottie' lol.
The minute he thinks highly of himself and betters himself is the minute he'll find a girl that likes him for what he is... matter of fact there's definitely a girl out there that would probably like him for him, but he's too shy and insecure to go out and at the very least approach a girl lol..
