Most likely NOTHING will happen because of this and everything will stay the same. Lets add that, if something has already happened/changed, feel free to tell me. I have no idea to be honest.

Well nothing will change indeed if we don't do anything. It's a small hope, but it's spreading awareness. Even many who dis-agree with the movement agree there needs to be change (for the better).

Once an idea has taken hold of the brain it's almost impossible to iradicate. An idea that is fully formed, fully understood. That sticks, right in there somewhere. so far #OWS had done their job: raising the awareness of young people about the corrupted system.

It's only a few places where they have enough people to set up tents without the police shutting them down every night. I talked to a couple cops from my city at a party a couple weeks ago and they said the occupy group here only had 7 people that refused to leave at night and were arrested. I went to the location during the daytime and there were like 30 ppl max. And this is a college town with 50,000 students.

Obama is getting buttloads of campaign $ from big finance.

As others have pointed out, OWS has already achieved a lot by starting a conversation that used to be ignored by the establishment. This is the beginning and there's no other way that any change can be initiated. But it's only the beginning. No one expects real change to happen in a few weeks or months of protests. It will take quite some time until the movement grows strong enough.

This will change things. Here in Spain, politicians are already starting to talk about opening the democracy, new and old parties with those ideas have started to appear and gain visibility (like the Pirate Party), and most important of all, the word is on the street. Change will not come tomorrow, but for a movement that is less than a year old, I think this is already a huge step forward.
