I loved my time there and it's a beautiful place but not much of a party town - last opening is 1 in the morning out of respect to the locals who live there. Still Dundee and Edinburgh is close enough for trips.
Hope y'all got what you wanted/need, and grats everyone on the hard work.
Thanks a lot for this, I'm very happy to be going there, and hopefully spend four years there!

Well my tracker got messed up because the universities were waiting for the results of the further maths (AS) exams that I didn't actually do. The delays from that and not being able to get onto track meant that, by the time I got the confirmation that I had been rejected from my firm choice, all the clearing places I'd been eyeing since midnight had closed. So I'm now sitting on a confirmation for deferred entry at Glasgow.
Its unfortunate that someone as indecisive as me had to be in the year with the toughest competition, but I'm pretty angry at UCAS. They couldn't sort their shit out for one day and I lost out on any chance of going to a university I wanted to go to this year. Even if I'd got in contact with someone about the clearing places UCAS didn't give me any of the details that I would have needed.

Congratulations everyone! Hope everyone makes their offers.

I wish I did A level, fuck IB.

That's hard, have you considered re-applying next year for it again?? I still haven't been rejected yet by Imperial, but I'm deferred, so I think they'll do mine after this year's lot...

I was planning to take a gap year for a while, so the more I think about it the less bad it seems, its really the idea that I'm being forced into it that I don't like.
I guess now I'm actually free. I can get a mediocre day job and train until I'm a bonjwa by night.
I hope it works out for you. Imperial is a great university, I would have loved to stay in London for uni, its a shame I don't think that there aren't really any Universities in my range.

Thanks a lot, unfortunately my bonjwa training is going to be severely affected at Imperial... Soo much work apparently!
On the bright side, in my eyes, my knowledge of the game is really good even tho I'm terrible at implementing it, so I'm hoping Imperial is stereotypical, and is filled with a bunch of Asians who are gods at SC2, and set up a uni team for the UKTL...
Edit: In all of that, I neglected to say good luck no matter what happens. Stuff works itself out eventually!

I got into Cambridge anyways What a nervous 24 hours. Thanks for your words of support guys, I appreciate it! And congratulations to everyone who got into their choices!

At AS I got:
History A Politics A Psychology B RS C
As far as I can tell anyways. The whole UMS thing is baffling.
Easily good enough for what I want to do at uni (American Studies at Nottingham- usually requires ABB) so I'm very happy.
Also a U in General Studies. I wasnt in the mood on the day of the exam so ended up writing about zombies, terrorists and alien invasions in the first module.

Government and Politics - U English - U Law - B Business studies - U

your offer was SS? god, either they changed how they marked those exams or getting in to do maths must be a ton harder then last year.

Phys - A (298/300) Chem - A (262/300) Maths - A (292/300) F.Maths - A (251/300)
All AS.

A* Maths A2 A Further Maths A2 A Computing A2 B Physics A2 And some bits. e in additional further maths AS, my worse spare modules. b in AS chemistry too. Offer was AAA to include Maths and Physics, so I'm guessing an A in Further Maths makes up for a grade lower in Physics as they let me. Starting in October for a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering at Loughborough. Very happy :D

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, but it seems kind of relevant. If I'm interested in going to a college in Britain (I'm American), do I have to do something different or will they take my SAT score + transcript and whatever else you apply with to American unis?
