Thats a pretty cool idea. I might have to steal that.

Jesus, he looks like the wraith from Gauntlet Dark Legacy, except he has 3 heads instead of 1. And a sword.

When is it going to be updated? Also when are the others going to be updated? They seem stagnant

Yeah, the other threads have like 4 pages a piece to our 80. Expanding on his idea a bit, for the next game, you could have a mafia-like sign up thread. Then divide it into teams with different blobs.
The thread could have a visual progression of all the creatures (or maybe just a shadow, since as nasty as our guy looks, one could probably glean that he has quite a few points in intelligence) but keep the hard stats hidden. The actual thread could be used for battles and taunting or whatever, but the bulk of the actual decision making process would take place in PMs to you with the team's choices. However each team wanted to come up to a consensus would be up to them, they'd just have to elect someone to let you know what we evolved/did in combat.
Don't know how far you had planned to take this game, but you could even expand on the exploration bit by creating a generic grid map with spawn points for all the creatures, and points of interest. Predetermined before hand, of course. Then when the creature chooses to explore, they choose which direction to move in, and either find nothing or interact with whatever event was there.
They could run into other creatures, in which they'd be given the choice to mate, fight, etc (with the creature entering the square getting an attack advantage unless the other creature decided to make their position defensible/set up an ambush. And if both moved into the same square on the same turn, they'd be on even ground.) Or if there were predetermined events, like NPC creatures, items/upgrades to be found, or whatever.
Of course, you'd have to decide how large to make the grid and how many events you want places, depending on the amount of creatures; you don't necessarily want people to hit something every square, but at the same time you don't want the grid to be so big that you have nothing to interact with.

20 rounds? good lord you sure?
it seems that all the other forums aren't as...motivated and determined as us...
I mean the green blob is the only one that has really progressed in comparison to us.

I really really like this idea, I'd totally join in.

we have created a monster...
*que twilight zone music*

|
Why does our monster look like it will stomp the shit out of all the other monsters?
|
This is Pure Genius! Awesome how us TL members can choose the course Blue goes through and see how it changes.
|
From Green:
"k so our creature tried to explore but it has no legs so it pretty much just rolled around in shit for a while and got more disgusting. Maybe it wouldnt be so scummy if it had a couple limbs to wash itself now and then right?"
LOL they fail so hard. Visually they just got some pity growth and increased in size and such, but really they just got more crap growing on them.
|
You can vote on the green creature's poll without registering for the forums (or it let me at least).
So uh... I vote that TL prevents green from growing any limbs. The last thing we need is a walking swamp.

I think yellow or "Thrustor Harvester of innocence" Might give you guys some trouble... soon.

For the people still voting strength; page 77 has combat rules; we have to go intel/ limbs. And green is becoming pretty disgusting...
|
Lol, green is a joke. No way in hell it can stand up to our massive mind assaults.
Yellow may be trouble. It doesn't look serious atm, but give it some time and it may be something we could call our equal.

Not going to lie the green one looks pretty damn cool even though it looks like a slug lol

Ok making a poll so we can kinda focus on a plan for combat coming up. and so we can tie together all the ideas in this thread.
Refer to page 77 for combat rules. This poll does not contain all the options available, just some priorities and paths we can take.
Poll: Where do we go with Liquid'Blue?Limbs > Intel > expolre (24) 71% Intel > Limbs > explore (6) 18% Strength > Limbs > Explore (2) 6% Explore > Mate > Limbs (1) 3% Explore > Mate >Intel (1) 3% 34 total votes Your vote: Where do we go with Liquid'Blue? (Vote): Limbs > Intel > expolre (Vote): Explore > Mate > Limbs (Vote): Strength > Limbs > Explore (Vote): Explore > Mate >Intel (Vote): Intel > Limbs > explore
