I just bought Modern Warfare 2, the game. It is probably the best military simulator out there and it’s one of the hottest games this year. I played MW1 as well but I didn’t really like it as I’m generally more the fantasy RPG kind of person – Dragon Age Origins etc .and not so much into first person shooters. I see MW2 more as a part of my training-simulation than anything else. I’ve still learned to love it though and especially the multiplayer part is amazing. You can more or less completely simulate actual operations. Oh dear lord... This will be going places...
It's going to be impossible for game developers and game advocates to explain away. He is being too direct about it - he was using it to train the operation. People were commentating on how close this whole thing was to MW2 already before the manifesto had been discovered.
Turns out Jack Thompson was more right than anybody who likes to play games are comfortable with admitting.

Yea, but as far as the press is concerned MW2 is some kind of psycho combat simulator : /
They ALWAYS use the video games excuse when these things happen, as if they didnt happen before video games.

We all should try to fight this little war inside of us... good vs. evil bad vs. good and if we will find evidence both have the place in our thoughts extreme actions wont happen anymore.

This event, if anything, shows what hate and division breeds. I have absolutely no respect for anyone who can agree with the ideas that led this man to his actions.
Those can't really even be called ideas when he labels 13-17 year old kids as his enemies. It's just twisted insanity.

Something can follow logically, but it does not make the premises correct. The conclusion can still be wrong.

Holy crap. When this becomes official.. Well, I'm glad I'm 18, seeing as if I was younger, my parents would probably ban video games from my life ( I might be overreacting a tiny bit : D ).
But I've been discussing whether video games played a major role in the shooting or not with my mom, who of course blindly blames it on the video games.
I saw a interview with a psychiatrist on danish television, but basically said that Anders isn't considered mentally ill. But reading this statement from his manifesto, it basically proves the exact opposite.
What a sick fuck.
