God.. Now 84 confirmed dead on Utøya..
It's is so sad and terrible what has happened.. Especially there on Utøya.. They were all so young.. From 13-14 and up Also, engaged in politics.. I am/was never engaged in politics, but now that I look at what has happened in Norway, its like they represented the best of us, you know? Regardless of political views, it was all young bright people.. Hunted down like cattle and slaughtered in a confined space..
R.I.P.

Feels like the 100th same post. Really doesn't help at all!

So is this beast only getting the maximum 21 year sentence? Or will exceptions be made?

Is there anything human left?
It seems as if he didn't randomly shoot down kids like it appears to be with most of these sprees, but he rather tracked them down all the way to the water. He used the territory to his advantage which can be described as a very perfidious strategy, thus resulting in this unusual high number of victims. I still find it hard to believe that he did it all of this on his own. Also i wonder what made him stop since he got caught.
While i think it is wrong to politically indoctrinate kids at this young age, my grief is with the families. I try to rationalize this but for once i am all shook up, unable to grasp the course of events.

This is a article about getting young norwegians to use their right to vote.

There is no indoctrination. I went to a camp like this because I wanted to with two friends when I was 15. I'm now 23 and vote for a different party than the camp I went to, because I don't agree with their ideals as much as I did when I was younger.

I think it was explained in the OP also: As far as I understand it the maximum sentence is indeed 21, but after that, if a court deems him to be a danger to society they can hold him for another 5 years. They can repeat that til he is dead

No exceptions.
People need to understand that even a tragedy like this isn't worth sacrificing our humanity for. Killing is not what you base a society on.
EDIT: No exceptions to the law as it stands, humanitarian and optimistic as it is. How long the sentence is going to be, nobody can know at this point.

^^There are exceptions though.

So you think the guy pre-made his tweets so he could fake a survivor-blog afterwards? http://twitter.com/#!/PrableenKaur If you want to read his tweets. 18hrs ago: "I am alive for now." 16hrs ago: "I'm safe now. I got myself to the mainland." .... Really, stop posting such stuff blindly!

Those gory pictures of dead bodies were so disturbing. How can people be so cruel to others? What is their pursuit when taking innocent lifes like that? Where is all that hatred from? I just fail to understand such acts. Yes, everybody can get pissed or fall in an emotional distress. But to be able to overcome your own conscience to do something as gruesome as this, you are really a deviation of any moral norms.
Wish the best to all of the victims' relatives! Be solid and reserve your emotional health!
