Your skin is also acid, you could try to make your hands turn to volcanoes by squeezing baking soda !

Would that fix problems with windows? Woah there, cowboy. 1. Why do you think you have a virus? If you are sure you have a virus, do you know which one? 2. What are your problems with windows? Specific hardware problems? General sluggishness? How old is your computer? How long without doing serious software maintenance (cleaning up your hdd, defragging, etc.(?

The reason this is not a chrome problem is because: 1.-I've reinstalled it 3 times already, erased everything from it, and same problem. Also, something similar happens on internet explorer, it closes after a while randomly. Now, I'm not one to download or visit weird internet places, but once a few months ago I got a warning from Mcaffee that they had blocked someone from the US tried to do something with my computer (remote conection or some shit), which is a big "you got virus sign" I searched my computter files and removed some stuff I wasnt sure what it was (obviously I made sure they were not system files..), and later the antivirus removed a program it deemed malicious, and I haven't got the message since, but I'm worried some of it still remains. Oh also sometimes chrome will crash and I won't be able to re-open it unless i reestart. The program appeas in the task manager but doesn't really open, and closing it trough the task manager and trying to re-open it does nothing. Now, my problems with windows are: Sometimes if I leave my computer on and go to eat or something, it will go into hibernation, but sometimes it wont. Also, sometimes I turn off my computer, and it restarts instead. Finally, sometimes while restarting it won't start, like it gets stuck in a loading screen, so I have to turn it off manually. So either I got a virus, or a very shitty windows problem, or both. My computer is fairly new, like 1-1.5 years old, and its a good one I belive (dell XPS idk what else), but I think its out of warranty by now. Oh also, I don't think I have done any manteinance on it, maybe will do it later.

Say, if I write teamliquid.net and click on it, chrome crashes, however if instead of left clicking, I press the mause wheel to open the site in another another tab it never closes. Once on TL or any other site I can left-click trough the different pages, but if then I want to go to youtube for example, I need to open the site using the mouse wheel click or it will crash. Oh also, I don't think I have done any manteinance on it, maybe will do it later. Well, sounds tricky, but I would assume it's not a virus first. Install MalwareBytes and run it. Also get a second (free) antivirus: Panda and Avast are both pretty good. I would use one of those and just get rid of McAfee, but that's personal preference. Also use CCleaner to get rid of unnecessary clutter. If Chrome keeps crashing, it could be some kind of conflicting software (weird, but it exists) or something else that is chronically wrong with Chrome. It can be a bit finicky (it is on my iPad, and there's no virus on it). Try this: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142063?hl=en If none of that solves your problems, then maybe a reinstall is easier than figuring it out, but I personally hate reinstalling as it is a massive pain in the ass.

True, it is the nuclear option regardless. My thought process was run of the mill viruses probably don't write to the boot though.
