Someone answer me this: What the hell is up with the stupid design of computer plugs and sockets?
For example. USB plugs.. No one reading this hasn't tried to insert one - didn't fit so you flip it over - didn't fit so you flip it again and it does. I know you've done that.
Ethernet? Those pissy little clips that always break off leaving you to either buy a new cable or use tape to hold the little fecker in. Snagless ethernet? Same shit, snagless my ass.
SATA cables? Those crap little L-shaped pieces of bullshit that are about as secure as Justin Beiber. I wonder how many new computers have been shipped out only to be returned as dead on arrival because this silly little plug popped out in transit (you can get ones with clips, but meh, the point still stands..... But my SSD doesn't even have the connectors on it for those little clips to work!).
IDE cables? If you build comps you've almost certainly bent those flippin pins at some point.
PS/2? Same shit as IDE.
And what the hell is up with those despicable clips designed to hold VGA cards in the PCI-E slots? The design is so poor! If you have a double width card and are anything other than a baby you're not going to get your finger in there to release it. What.
MOLEX connectors on old generation hard drives? Same shit - wiggling about the damn plug like a tit trying to get the internal pins in the plug to line up.
The long dead floppy connector was the same. Trying to connect up 4 odd 10mm long pins that you can't see with your hand already contorted into an obscene positions like you're a Harry Houdini wannabe.

The driving on the left drove me insane in Euro Truck simulator. I decided to never go to Britain again in that game after a single delivery.

It's called safety, the third pin is an earth, so you know, you don't electrocute yourself.

Oh what? So the "new" Brazilian plug isn't some homebrew bullshit, but is actually the Swiss model?
But yeah, Brazil is the real bullshit.
They used to use the US layout, but recently (about 3 years ago) switched to the Swiss (apparently) layout.
They also use 110V for the most part, but some things are on 220V. Moreover, some devices and plugs are for 20A, and use a thicker pin than fits in normal plugs.
So you can find any of 4 different combinations of voltage/current: 110V 10A, 220V 10A, 110V 20A, 220V 20A
You can find each of those in the old US layout, either with ground or without.
You can also find the 10A ones in the Swiss layout, either with ground or without.
And finally, you can find 20A ones which use the Swiss layout but with thicker pins.
GOOD FUCKING LUCK PLUGGING YOUR DEVICE IN! AKJSDFKJBDFHJQERWIU

Let's look at the evidence. First you have 2 pin plugs, shitty little bits of plastic which get easily knocked out, with no earth for safety. Then you have 3 pin plugs and their variants which are more secure and safe to use.
Now just look at all those happy smiley faces in this pic. Clear evidence I feel. Dont you just want to cuddle Denmark? It's so cute, awww.

Question: Can you create a GoFundMe campaign for absolutely anything? Obviously, *real* issues are more likely to be supported and funded, but I've seen people basically create troll accounts to make a few hundred dollars for literally no legitimate reason. Is there any sort of vetting or validation process, or could I just make one for some unjustifiable bullshit and hope some moron thinks it's clever enough to give me a few bucks out of pity? (In other words, can GFM be like "Sorry, I see you were given a few bucks but we're refunding people their money and you're not getting it because your campaign is retarded.")
Like this guy:
http://www.gofundme.com/wx673b3b
"My name is Michael, and with all this talk about transgender and transracial issues I think it is time to come clean with my secret. I'm transfinancial, and that means I am a rich man born in a poor man's body. Please help me overcome my identity issues.....thank you"
This guy made $342 (with a "goal" of $5M LOL) for literally writing a paragraph of nonsense (and essentially piggybacking off an actual social/ gender issue).
EDIT: I did find this in the FAQ:
"Can I raise money for anything? Almost. As always, common sense goes a long way here. DO raise money for personal causes that are purposeful, exciting and inspiring to others. DON'T break any local laws, expect strangers to buy you stuff or promote inappropriate content. When in doubt, browse our categories of thousands of successful campaigns to see how others use GoFundMe."
So it looks like you can pretty much do whatever you want as long as you're not breaking the law or overtly doing anything inappropriate.
Also "While your GoFundMe campaign will be live and ready to accept donations immediately, your campaign must be manually approved by the GoFundMe Team prior to appearing in our Public Search Directory." So I guess what the guy did was okayed by GFM lol.

It will work for the first couple of times just because it's a new creative idea. Once the tenth guy is asking for the same trivial shit, no one is gonna contribute any longer.
Remember the "I am Rich" app on the iPhone or http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com? Those things worked because of the creative idea creating a buzz. People trying to replicate that success failed obviously.

don't know anything about networking, for canadian internet, is this good internet? it says faster than 71% but from what I hear from SGTK about other parts of canada, that doesn't mean much to me

It sounds pretty good. Roughly as good as mine, a bit more down, a bit less up, similar ping. And i haven't had any reason to complain so far. You should be able to pretty much whatever you want with that, with the exception of very high quality streaming, since your upload isn't the best.
