If AI has taken over humanity, Turing will likely be remembered.

If we assume that they will have about as much information about us as we have about people 2000 years ago, ask yourself what kind of people are remembered that long. We can even expand it a bit and ask "Who do you know from more than 2000 years ago." My list would be: Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, Alexander the Great, Tut-Ankh Amun, Homer, Pythagoras, Hippocrates, Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, and that is about it. If i thought about it for longer, i would probably come up with a few more. I am only mentioning people that existed for sure. Now, those guys obviously span quite a few centuries. So, you either conquer a lot of shit, or science real hard and get lucky and be the one person whose stuff gets found.

Questions should be in one color and answers in another, or something else that helps, no? Not to mention the op could link the best ones. Edit: Sorry for "off topicness", thank you for a fun thread.

It sort of goes against TL's simplicity to have different color fonts. OP could do updates like that, but it'd be a lot of work and I doubt he's up for it.

According to Newtons First Law, the bullet will move in a straight line in an inertial system unless an external force forces it to change it's motion. And according to Newtons third law, if you wish to exert a force onto the bullet, the bullet will also exert the same force unto you. Now, the main problem here is that your body is rather squishy in comparison to the bullet, and you will in total need to exert a force that not only stops the bullet completely, but also accelerates it by the same amount in the opposite direction. Doing this in a straight line is hard, as your body is not very big, either, and that will put a massive amount of pressure onto the part of your organs that you try to stop the bullet with. Which they usually can't take. You can play around a bit with having the bullet change its direction in a circle, which allows you to spread that change of momentum out over a larger timeframe, leading to a smaller force and thus smaller pressure onto your body, but the fact of the matter is that your body is still rather small and squishy, while a bullet is small, fast and has a high density. I could do the exact calculations, but i am a bit lazy and if you had physics in school, you should also be able to do this.
