Your inability to perceive my answer does not verify that the answer does not exist, just because reality does not match your paradigm does not mean that reality is wrong. His question was answered, you simply disagree as to the methodology of the answer ![]()

Can you not roll more single-ply toilet paper and fold it enough times to create the same effect of multiple ply? It's way softer. Disclaimer: I am not a toilet paper technician. My theory is that it has something to do with the necessary strength of the toilet paper. If you have thicker paper, you need less strenght /volume of the paper, and thus can invest more into softness. So if you have multi-sheet toilet paper, maybe only the middle one needs to be the assripping hard paper, while the outer two can be silky smooth softness. While if you have only a single sheet per thingy, it needs to be hard so it doesn't rip as easily, and thus can not be as soft to the ass.

Although the standard is usually two-ply where both layers are soft and tear easily but are durable enough to hold when connected to each other.

Why would he not tell anyone? The explanation that he wants to keep the plan secret doesn't make sense once the fellowship is on their way. If they caught them, the plan is foiled anyway. Why wouldn't he tell Aragorn or Agent Smith Elf? The explanation that they don't take the High Pass doesn't make any sense either - it's not at all a likely route for the Ring to be taken and wouldn't be watched any more than any other route. And finally ... If that was the plan why not just tell the Eagles to fly to Rivendell to pick them up?

And finally ... If that was the plan why not just tell the Eagles to fly to Rivendell to pick them up? All this. Also, the books are pretty clear on a few reasons why the eagles couldn't fly them. (Heaven knows why this was omitted in the movies). For one thing, the eagles are not invulnerable. In fact, they could easily be brought down by a single poison arrow. They feared farmers' arrows, to say nothing of the entire army of Mordor (you may remember the only reason they could get to Mt. Doom at the end was due to a massive diversionary battle.) But the main reason is because they are nobody's bitches. They do their own damn thing in their own time. The political control of any kingdom of men or elves is just not that important/interesting to them. Orcs in charge, men in charge, life goes on pretty much the same for the eagles. The only reason they help out at all is that they have a special deal with Gandalf. Big G once saved Gwahir, Eagle King, from a deadly wound, so Gwahir has this pledge to protect Gandalf when his life is in peril and Gwahir doesn't have any appointments. So Gandalf gets a little help whenever he's in personal danger. The only exception is that final battle, where they were already there protecting Gandalf, and he's like, hey, who wants to volunteer to ditch the dangerous battle with arrows and orcs and go into now-empty Mordor to pick up some munchkins. And they said, cool. Sweet deal.

(pls don't make fun of me, this is the stupid questions thread) The sun is 99.8% of the total mass of the solar system. So if you add up the mass of all of the objects in our solar system, the sun is 99.8% of it. However, the majority of the solar system in terms of volume is just massless space. Picture the entire solar system being enclosed by a basketball; the sun only makes up for 1 trillionth of a percent of the space inside the basketball.

What takes up more space (volume), a tonne of steel or a tonne of wool?
